I just wish you could actually buy the ones you want instead of the grab-bag model. They're not that cheap, especially if you end up buying 6 or 7 just to get one.

They are a bit much for a mystery item. They should go back to the unique barcodes they used in series 1 and 2. Still a surprise for those who don't want to know, and less $ wasted for those that do.

well it seems that spiderman is only in set 6873 Spiderman’s Doc Ock Ambush. it should be release in america on 15/8 for 70$

better look at the new spiderman:

Oh, never mind then. I'll probably pay $70 for the Quinjet, but the jet is really cool in addition to the five minifigs. If I'm just interested in the figs, that's too much.

Managed to snag Hulk's Helicarrier from Walmart.com for my daughter's upcoming birthday. Had it in my cart and went OOS before I could checkout. Came back in stock for about 5 minutes and got it. Gone again now. Still trying to get her Cap's cycle.

Went to another Toys R Us on the way home from work in search of the Liberty figure and found a bunch of Series 5 instead. I think they had nearly the whole set but I just grabbed the ones I wanted:

Boxer
Clown
Lizard Man
Gangster
Gladiator
Troll

at Toys R Us Germany
20% on all lego
sadly thought they have no modulars or tower bridge and stuff..

bp_lego_13-12_de.jpg

Toysrus Australia is having the same sale as well on lego
I asked about the town hall but they don't have it in yet and probably won't for a few months. I didn't ask about any of the other modulars or tower Bridge.

Starting sorting (yes, I'm going to do at least SOME sorting, the Death Star was challening enough with no sorting and this is over 1k pieces more) on UCS Falcon. Going to take some pictures.

First 5 minutes freak out.

Reading through those gathering parts on bricklink, the first thing I noticed was that the blue-grey scaffolding piece for the engine is one of the sets very rare pieces and are the only pieces not bagged and I only see one, and know there are two. I look through the rest of the box and rest of the bags.... nothing.

Find it hiding in the box for the instructions, must have slipped in there at some point..

LEGO.... LEGO Everywhere....

yeah, I'd never seen 15 pounds of lego in one box in my life before this.

So I found an extra head in a bag... Regular LEGO head, but flesh colored rather than yellow with the normal smile... I really hope this is a structural piece somewhere.

Is TRU running the BOGO on Star Wars sets for the next two days? I know it has been ongoing, but I got an email saying it was on all Lego sets for the 30th and 31st.

That's what I thought, but the email I just got mentioned a 2 day period and didn't put exclusions in fine print at the bottom so I wasn't sure.

I am hoping for the Marvel Super Heroes stuff to show up on shelves at most local places soon. I really want those minifigs. I dont buy the separate minifigs (too expensive for one figure at local shops), but the Avengers ones are cool.

Of course, with the Toys R Us sale, the minifigs are a good deal.

Thinking of ordering two of the bricks deluxe boxes from Toys R Us. That is a lot of bricks for a great price. And nice for doing MOC modulars as well. Maybe...

Dammit, I wish there was a Lego store in CT. I would go crazy with the brick cups.

I picked up Hogwarts castle on clearance at Kmart. Unfortunately, someone stole the minifigures but at 1200 pieces for $50, I couldn't pass it up. After building it, I think I will dismantle it and use the bricks for spare parts. It feels more like a playhouse than an actual set that you would want to display.

I really want the maersk train, but I know I'd want to put it on rails and I don't have any. Then I'd want to power it. And to buy tracks, motor, transmitter etc I might just as well buy the passenger train set. That starts getting expensive

Anyone added power functions to the maersk and was it expensive?

Can't you get replacement figs via lego.com?

Crossposting from my post on RFD.

For you Canadians, the 20% off sale is now live at toysrus.ca. 1.5% CB with greatcanadianrebates.ca

http://www.toysrus.ca/category/index.jsp?categoryId=12480271

I picked up a couple of the online only Star Wars sets at 20% off.

Obviously not as good as the b1g1 at TRU.com, but for us Canadians this is as good as it gets for the more expensive sets not sold in stores.

There IS a b1g1 going on at Zellers for Star Wars, Alien, and Hero that started today as well, but of course, you won't be able to get any of the more expensive sets in stores. (And the TRU sale also includes City, Creator, etc.)

Act fast cause TRU is finally clearancing the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar for $19.98! 8 minifigures included!

Thanks!!! Ordered

OH MY GOD IS THAT A DEADPOOL LEGO FIGURE

Yes and he is one of my favorites in my collection now lol. For 20 bucks that set is a no brainer, the Magneto and Wolverine minifigs are amazing too.

My god at the Falcon...so much lego haha

Got my Marvel set in. Deadpool is one of the greatest minifigs ever

Wow, that fast? I got my order in for the Helicarrier yesterday, then everything went OOS again.

Today, they're not even on the site anymore. Not 'sold out', just gone entirely like they never existed. Weird. Hopefully they'll start showing up in stores soon.

Ya I was shocked, especially for 99 cents standard shipping

So I followed GAFs advice and went for the Medieval Market Village! It arrived today, and its marvelous.

Gonna finish it tomorrow and make some pictures of the assembled set.

Depends on your definition of "expensive"... the term is very relative when it comes to LEGO Train tech -lol.

You will need the following (prices are what I paid from the LEGO store last month):

88002 (Train Motor) $14
8884 (IR Reciever) $13.50
8879 (IR Remote) $11.70
8878 (Rechargable Battery Box) $45
8887 (Transformer for Battery Box) $22.50

Total = $106.70 (which does not include any track)

You can save a bit by replacing 8878 & 8887 with 88000 (AAA Battery Box), which is only $13, but then you need to buy the batteries (6 of them?) and swapping out dead batteries can be a chore once you've built up around the box, but with the Maersk specifically it's easy.

Or just buy one of the passenger train sets. They run ~$170 or so, but include all of the parts needed to motorize your train, a good amount of track, AND another train. :)

It might be ex display. Because to have everything but the figures is weird since pieces of the figures are spread out over different bags with other bricks. Was anything else missing?

The box was open in the store and it looked like it had everything except the figures. After bringing it home, I realized that someone had bought it and return it back to the store without figures. The thief was really creative. All the bags with figures had a corner cut small enough to extract the figures. I think they used a heat gun to melt and reseal the plastic bags. They took out all the minifigures, the sorting hat, and all the owls from various bags.
