Got my first LEGO set today since I was probably 12yo: LEGO Wolverine Chopper Showdown 6866. I really like it and the minifigs. Thinking about dropping some dough on some more of the marvel and batman sets. Maybe pic up some of those Dino sets too cause they are freaking cool. Hope this doesn't become too big of an addiction :3

For people that don't want the bigger sets, TRU has the Batman Jetski polybag for $5. Shipping is a lot but doesn't increase much if you add more than one. It's the cheapest way to get the Dark Knight edition of Batman.

For the price of shipping, I might as well get it on Amazon and use my Prime free shipping. It's not really saving much money.
Maybe if it was that price at retail, I'd just drive out and pick one up. I could use a Batman minifig.

I picked up the 4993 White cabriolet on ebay local yesterday
missing a few pieces but the bricks are in good condition and at 20€ i wont complain (too much)
Oh i bought it as well on my local ebay. 20 euro's. Havent received it yet but it included the box and all the booklets and no pieces missing they said
Sometimes this model is very expensive on ebay...i've seen them for 100 euro. I didn't see it got sold for that price though. I saw it go for around 40 euro

oh man I was eyeing off those dino sets on bricklink last week, I nearly ended up just buying the dinosaurs individually but I had to restrain myself to save money for avengers sets. Ironically it is cheaper to buy a massive t-rex than it is to buy a hulk.

I'm starting to see why mini-figs hold such high prices at collectors shows. Hulk only comes in a $49.99 Jet and playset while Black Widow only comes in a $69.99 jumbo jet. Thor comes in both but the $49.99 set is the minimum you can find him in.

Agreed. I'm not really interested in The Avengers sets. Yet I'm tempted to order the Helicarrier Breakout from Lego.com in late May just for both Hulks.
King Theoden is the best one. But I sure as hell won't be buying Helms Deep.

Got a 10 dollar gift card randomly for B&N so I ordered the Wampa Attack set. I really wanted a snow speeder and the Wampa is pretty awesome. Not bad for 31 shipped after the card.

Pretty sure he was only with the Tumbler set.
Yeah I don't know the exact version suits but the one in the large Jet set is like Mark III or something with the circular chest light thing and the small pickup truck set has a triangular one (Mark IV or something like that)

I have the tumbler and the mr freeze set so I must have 2 of them lying around somewhere at home.
I like getting those "bang for your buck" sets. Lots of buildings/blocks for example.

If you save up and want to invest, and also start a horrifying habit, you get fantastic bang for buck ratio with the modular buildings.

i contacted the seller of the white cabrio car and told him what pieces are missing, he is going to scout arround his left over box for them, so i should be able to reduce the number of missing parts considerably.
anything that is still missing then i will just buy at lego next time i order something online
im beginning to see lego as an investment, even if I loose interest in a few months and want my moneyz back, i think i will be able to sell most without a loss and some even with a slight margin of profit
(especially the two fire brigades.)

My wolverine chopper set was lost in transit and now they are out of stock
so I guess i won't be getting it unless it comes in stock again... customer service refunded me but that's all they could do. I'm so bummed

3 of the first 4 sets I bought since I was a kid had messing or damaged parts/stickers that I had to get replaced. I ignored the omen. Alien Mothership should arrive by fedex tomorrow.

Yep same feeling I have been having, then I buy more and forget it.
I had a huge blow-out on lego as I was catching up with older sets. I think I'm up to speed now and expect to slow down with only a few sets here and there.

Midi-Falcon done. Great little build, pictured here next to my newly acquired Daredevil for scale.
Man, I don't even like Star Wars, but that Falcon is just an awesome looking set. So much nicer than the bigger one.
