Never ordered from the LEGO store....

Is it quirky about check out? I go to the order page, and nothing happens when I hit confirm order.

Wait, they carry this in store? I thought I'd have to buy it online. Is it hidden or something? I'm totally getting it at the store if it really is there.
 
Stopped by one of the smaller local toy stores at lunch... They had the Space Shuttle, and the Fire Brigade modular and a few other sets that I've not seen elsewhere. Looks like they may have been imported... My wallet escaped intact, but it took some doing.
Going interstate on the weekend and will be in shopping mode. Uh-oh.

I signed up for a VIP card earlier today when I placed my order off the Lego site and when I bought my quinjet at the store, they just asked for my email and gave me my Hulk minifig. Didn't ask about the mini-modular set though... Perhaps tomorrow.

I wasn't referring to the Hulk; I was talking about the mini modular set which is a VIP exclusive. It doesn't even show up on the Lego site unless you sign in. I had assumed it was only available online.

GAAAHH! I was in the Disneyland LEGO store Sunday buying the Avengers Helicarrier set but was in a hurry and didn't sign up for a VIP card! Dang! I probably could'a had a Hulk.

BTW, my TRU got the Monster Hunter and LOTR Sets. Got the $8 Swamp Creature set with the Bruce Campel lookin' guy. Definitely want Shelob. As far as the other Monster set goes, I'm hoping they go down in price at certain store in the fall cuz they would make GREAT Halloween decorations.

I've seen it in the LEGO store often, with the rest of the Direct and modular sets...
 
So me and my wife each picked up a mini hulk. Not really gonna flip it on eBay since its not my style but gonna keep it for trading purposes :)

VIP talk up in hereeeee. I nabbed my Mini Modulars through another outlet at a much cheaper price, so the "exclusive" nonsense is just that: nonsense.

Fellow Californian, go back with your receipt and ask for a mini hulk. They're pretty nice there. Call before going in :)
 
I felt like a kid in a candy store at Toys R Us tonight. So many new Lego sets!! Shame about their prices though.

Buuuut, I couldn't pass these up. Had a coupon and a gift card, which actually brought them all below MSRP.

They also had Seaside House stocked and it's adorable. Very colorful and bright. Great addition to the Creator homes.
 
Great haul!

I forgot to mention it earlier, but the Seaside House was also at the LEGO store.

Also noticed on the June calendar that the VIP Minifigure Collection (the ones VIPs voted on last year) will finally be available June 1st.
 
Just did one of the alt builds to Apple Tree House. Think I still like the prime build the most, but the alt build with the three story house is really cute. Love the see-saw in it.

Patiently waiting for my Grand Emporium and Hulk to ship off. And since there is no Lego store here, I am patiently waiting for BN to get the LOTR sets. As indifferent as I am to most of the sets, I will wind up getting them all for the mini figs.

whew :) grabbed a gandalf arrives off amazon finally! there are about 15 left before they are out of stock (already!) grab one if you want one
 
Where are you guys located where your Lego stores are getting these sets in early?

Probably already been mentioned but that Hulk minifig you get with the promo reminds me so much of the one that appears in the TV show.

I enjoy being broke because I spend all my money on plastic bricks as well. Doesn't change the fact that this thread is evil and we are all like drug pushers encouraging everyone else to give into the habit.

But, once everyone is addicted, we are all loving and supportive of each other and trying to help each other out. At least that is my take.
 
Wow I was standing in Target with the Avenger's Chopper set in my hands and I just couldn't do it, not even at 20% off. The box is tiny...
 
The Seaside House is definitely awesome. Gonna pick that up to go with my Lighthouse at some point. Since I got most of the LOTR sets that I want, my current Must Get list before The Hobbit sets hit in December (or any new Pirates or Castle sets show up) iiiiiiiis...:

Battle of Helms Deep and Uruk-Hai Army
Seaside House
Kingdoms Chess
Vampyre Castle

Still quite a bit of cash wrapped up in just that group. Le sigh. But I can't help myself.

It was 23.36 euros for my X-wing. It was shipped in a box just a little bigger than itself, with some stiff brown paper to fill it out. I'm not sure how big the Camper is, but let me know if you find out for sure :)

Amazon is telling me 90 EUR. Bringing the total (With tax still applied) to 186 EUR, approx 240 AUD. Seems like that might be a shipping max, as setting the quantity to multiple doesn't increase it at all. Not sure how sophisticated the shipping estimator is.

Chopper isnt that bad to put together. Not terrible, but not wonderful either. I have no shame in admitting I purchased it only for Deadpool. It allows me to do things like this:

 
Found out a Lego store just opened up in my hometown. I'm definitely stopping by there once I get back in town after classes end, I've never seen one before.

That's how I described the figure to my dad since he is the one who told me the TV hulk was basically a guy with green makeup on.
 
When I was out earlier today, Newbury Comics had a few bags of series 4 mini figs in. I got excited until I saw they were marked $5.99 a pop. Fuck that.

And a local Toys R Us had a bunch of series 5 bags mixed in with the others on a display, but every bag I pulled out was cut open and missing parts of the figure. Savages!
 
lol in the gaming section, $60 is such a big deal, but because of this thread bought the Falcon 7965 without second thought because it was a few bucks off
 
anyone ever bought a lego set from amazon warehousedeals? i see a 'used' lego set i want for a good price sold through there, it says item is 'excellent condition' but packaging is damaged, which is fine by me -- hope that means it has all pieces including minifigs?

worth the risk?

*edit* well... i'm going to risk it, what the hell. just bought a falcon for $103 shipped :) hope everything is as promised

thanks to darkwing for inspiring me to visit the product page, hah!

If anyone wants to take the same risk they seem to have more in stock. just look here: used falcons!

okay, since we have a lego store in our town im gonna go there tomorrow and see if they have it in stock.
too scared im not gonna be able to get the hulk minifig in a few days
 
so the lego online store in the UK is showing out of stock on R2D2, so I might gamble on a trip to the local lego store. If they have it, I'll buy it, if they don't I won't. What could possibly go wrong :P

Still haven't opened my Sonic boom parcel from amazon, think I might leave that til later in the year. Picked it up because it was on sale and I think OOP now or soon?

Also, I am totally going to get that Hulk minifigure. He looks awesome and my kids
and me
will love smashing stuff with him! I just hope my Lego store has the Frankenstein Monster Fighter set in stock because that's the one I want the most. I was debating Bricklinking the Series 4 monsters rather then getting the Monster Fighter sets right away but the prices are pretty good on the new sets and you get some cool vehicles.

I ordered again using hopshopgo's "buyforme" feature where you place your order on their website and they make payment for you, so far so good.
 
Is there any kind of cheap stop motion software I could use from an iPhone or cheap camera? I think it'd be fun to do some stop motion vids with Lego, add my own music and sound fx. Not sure where to start for the software and hardware though.

- lego movie from lego (free)

- istopmotion (not free). Comes with a free iphone companion app that lets you use a spare iphone/ipod touch as a wifi camera to avoid camera shake
