I realize talking about Mega Bloks in the LEGO thread is blasphemous but as a Blizzard/Warcraft fan and a LEGO fan these sets really excite me:

Yeah, unfortunately Mega Bloks is trash.

I bought a few of the smaller Halo sets to try them out and they're really cheap. The plastic is really tacky, and from a build perspective they have custom pieces for everything. Really bad.

It's a shame they got the Halo and Warcraft licenses, really.

I would have taken a LEGO mini-theme ala Spongebob over Mega Bloks.

Edit: Oh yeah, and lots of stickers.

I have bought many (around 10 sets) from amazon warehouse deals, always gotten every piece... so far even on a few of the more expensive sets like HP Castle. You can always return it if anything is missing or you are otherwise unhappy.

Usually the packaging has dents or rips, I've never received one that was missing the entire box yet, even though sometimes the description says it may come 'repackaged' -- even if it did, I would not mind. I don't keep boxes.

Manuals have always come in-act, as have the pieces

Glad so many of you are buying the sets and not 'strangers' I will not rest until every wallet on GAF has cried as much or more than my own.

Man, they are killing it with those deals today. That is just a crazy set to have on display (that I destroyed for parts for my MOC). Many on here will sing the virtues of Tower Bridge. It is also one of the most insane deals for the price per brick.

But be warned: make sure you have adequate display space for it. It is 50" long when completed, but oh so worth it.

Soda machine, complete with three cup sizes. I reduced the size of the machine by one layer of plates.

Staircase to second floor. Added condiment bar near the stairs. Not sure how to add more detail or mess with it more. That is the one interior detail I really want to mess with more.


This is the new and improved second floor. A HUGE improvement in my opinion.

Well, snatched a Helm's Deep for $101... doubt i could find it cheaper than that in the future. Also got Uruk-Hai army for $24... I could probably hold off and find it a little less, but I'm sick of stalking it every day I'm now the proud owner of all LotR sets

Now I have tons of pieces to do my own Mocs, once I decide on a cool scene or location not already up for sale

Those Hobbit set will be awesome. I hope they release one of the Stone Trolls in the first wave :x

Now I can rest until the new sets!

It is all about when it is built. Green Grocer was the first set with an interior detail level that was cool. If you want to spoil the fun, look at the instructions for some if the later modulars. It is the little details inside that set them apart, and what gave me the inspiration for my cafe interior.

Many of those just seem like variations on figures from the past few series. So far I feel that the even numbered series are merely okay, while the odd numbered ones have lots of really awesome figures.

After the olympics minifig "hoax" I'd hesitant to say this list is bullshit but we've already had a vampire, a skier, a cheerleader, a diver (depending on whether this means scuba diver or not).

Having said that I'd love a bravarian and my daughter would love a fairy.

I only want the dinos out of those sets, I've added all of them to my bricklink wanted list and I'll pick them up eventually, I think I figured out all up it'd cost me $80 to get one of each. Sounds like a lot but if you compared it to buying all the sets to get them it's pretty decent.

Reminds me of the lose bricks my grandmother has. When I went back recently I noticed they still had my two models I built last time intact and on display.
