Wait... That's the flagship Technic set for this year? I am a bit disappoint
. It just doesn't have the grand majesty of the Unimog or the Crane Truck or many other flagships that have come before it. Don't get me wrong, the functions are very cool, but it just looks a little juvenile.EDIT: I'm sure I'll still buy it, though.

I think what makes it flagship is all the new motors and power behind it. From that review, it's not an RC car, but it's apparently the closest LEGO has ever come to putting an RC-style creation out there.

Cool. I had seen that seller, but as you said, he has it labeled as stickered, so that's why I couldn't find it. Hopefully printed pieces will pop up again. Thanks.
This thread is awful. I ended up buying the VW Camper Van set when I finally got my new job, as I had been eyeing it for months while unemployed, and thought it was the perfect harmony between my love for VW's and my past love of LEGO as a kid. It was my first set since middle school, and I told myself I'd probably buy a few more Technic sets or perhaps a couple of the more iconic Star Wars sets...
...and then I looked through this thread. Now I'm planning out paychecks for when I can purchase the SSD (which I don't have room for in my tiny apartment), I just ordered the Sopwith Camel and Supercar sets from lego.com, and I originally thought the mini-modulars looked cool and had planned on those, but now the idea of the full-size modulars is growing on me, and now this monsters theme coming out! What have you done to me, LEGO-GAF!

I get that. I just wish it screamed "FLAGSHIP!" a bit more. I mean, having an RC Lego is cool and I appreciate the mechanics behind it, but it's at the bottom of my list as to why I buy Lego.

Crawlers are probably one of the least juvenile if that helps - takes some serious engineering and driving skill to make a competition winning crawler.
One of my crawlers - more a pretty one rather than a competition one. I also have a mini one which is great for indoors.
Different strokes I guess. The unimog wasn't that interesting for me. What I'd really like is a cross between technics and system. Underneath its fully mechanical with different functions etc, but the skin is beautifully designed and not just beams everywhere. The recent vampire supercar MOC is probably the closest i've seen to that

Worked on my Corner Florist modular MOC some more last night. Still no interior details, but am getting the outside built up some more.
Ignore all the loose cat hair on the floor...
Next to my Cafe MOC from last month.
I need to do more external detail on the second floor (use those SNOT plates hanging on the side) and then the roof. Then to try and get the interior manageable.

And after finishing Helm's Deep and having dinner, decided to keep going on my second modular MOC. And I finally decided on a theme for it: The Corner Florist
I left handles sticking from the corner to attach whatever sign I make for it. That will also help obscure to blank area near the top of the door.
So I had to pillage my modular garden/park that I build last week, but I am feeling good about it. Gotta say, doing a corner door added a very unique and fun challenge to building. Now to figure out what details to add to the second floor.
It'd funny, the top of the door with the 2x2 tiles looks almost identical to how I did my angled door on mine. Great minds think alike I guess.

Hi Lego-Gaf, been lurking in this thread a while now, and last night I finally got around to buying the Millennium Falcon, so i thought I'd pop in and say hi!
I loved lego as a kid, and that love never really went away, but I never thought of getting back in to it. Seeing how many people still make time for lego has prompted me to think again though, especially with all the cool sets they've been bringing out recently.
So I'll hopefully be slowly building up a Star Wars collection, lets see how I get on!

If you're going to do that, might be worth seeing if it's cheaper to source all the parts separately.

Been in SoCal for over a week (just got back up here to NorCal last night) and I did spend a few days in Disneyland.
I watched them start to build some of these pieces when I was down in Disneyland for New Year's, but it's nice to see them done. Also ended up buying a 3 in 1 set as I felt like building something.

That B-Wing is pure sex. The wings do look a bit too short though. And I really hope it comes with a minifigure.

Not really feeling that B-Wing set at all, but that $10 AT-ST is a sexy beast.
