No, I'm counting the first pilot "season" as two episodes - in some markets it was aired as two episodes and in others it was a singular movie.

Season 2 starts with episode 1 again with "Rise of the Snakes" and ends with episode 26, so to be accurate there are a total of 28 episodes.

So you've only got two more episodes, and that is it.

That's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure that we didn't miss anything. :) thanks for the detailed breakdown of your episode counting system; very Lego of you to do that! ;)

Alright, after about two hours or so work, the OP for whenever we need to migrate to an OT 2 is done. I might try and do some custom pictures or models for it, but probably wont get to it. Need to do that modular madness time lapse build, and then retail hell kicks into high gear next week.

The OP I made is VERY information heavy. I tried to cram as much info for people in there as I could, including storage options and popular sets. And if it is okay with Wetwired, I copied a few passages from the OP of this thread (with credit to him of course).

Vampire Castle should arrive tomorrow! Gonna build it with the girlfriend. Them spires, man. Dem spires. Wonder what other monster fighter sets I should get. Kinda want the zombies, the mad scientist, and the werewolf. Don't give a single damn about the ghost train and would only buy the mummy due to its cheapness, considering I have the scorpion pyramid.

Sweet! I can't wait to see it! 845 posts to go...

Zombies is a must. It has the best vehicle from any of the sets, and it comes with zombies!
Mad scientist is a cool build, but not super amazing.
Werewolf is a neat, cheap set. Plus, it comes with a werewolf!

But save up for Haunted House if you haven't already. That set is insane. (Except for Bag 1. Seriously.)

What I imagine the person making the instruction manual for Haunted House thinks about bag one:

Looked at a preview in here. I need to refine it some. And I should try and make some custom pics, because I know it can be better.

But I put most of the major themes in there (still available that is), along with storage/sorting ideas, and sets that are super popular on here to give people an idea of what to get.

Haunted House is essential, even if you don't buy any other Monster Fighters sets. The only explanation I have for the Bag 1 situation is that the designer had never made a modular-style building before.

After that, I would say The Zombies and The Werewolf sets. Mad Scientist is going to be a lot of what you just did with the Vampyre Castle, so you may want to skip it. Consider the Vampyre Hearse as well - I really enjoyed the build.

That is what bugs me so much about Haunted House. The build and design of the set itself is brilliant, and a huge breath of fresh air for a building after doing so many modulars. But those interior details that are just arbitrarily dropped in late in the build are handled so poorly compared to the rest of the build.

sounds good to me, cant wait :D

are you using the LEGOGAF logo™? ;)

Get every Monster Fighters set, they're retiring it all anyway...=(

That sucks so much about them going away, now I have to pounce on that Haunted House soon. Other than the polybags, it's the one set I'm missing from the line.

Is it gone completely or are there new monster sets coming. I had such high hopes for MF. :(
Did they not sell well?

Maybe they'll do a second wave of sets next year, but for now it looks like they'll discontinue the current wave in favor of early 2013 themes.

really not fussed about that one.
its a shame they watered down the 3in1 creator line imho.

It's a new subtheme (more of a renaming) - sets that were LEGO Direct are now Creator Expert - the modular buildings will fall under this theme as well from now on. The main Creator line will continue its standard 3-in-1 policy.

As to the review itself - its kind of a crap review. You would think with the exclusive, they would have put a bit more effort into it.

That's much nicer than last year's set.

Last year's set was cool because it tied into the first limited Holiday 2011 set, which was available for a couple weeks in October:

This year's set is awesome in its own right though.

I'm picking up two of the Holiday 2012 sets - one to open and one to store away, since it is so limited in release.

Just bought Helms deep, Ninjago ultimate battle thing (dragon with four heads) and Quinjet from Argos. 3 for 2 offer, couldn't refuse :P

Already have one helms deep hiding in the loft along with Haunted house. So now I have two backlogs, a real one (tower bridge, sonic boom, creator pickup truck and 4x4 technic crawler) and a 'shadow backlog'.

One helms deep is fine and will be a christmas present probably for my son (or me). the other may need to be broken down discreetly. Wonder if you can discreetly stash away 1,300 grey bricks..

I have 3 of the Santa sets from last year (due to Lego botching my online order). I'm mostly impressed that this year you're getting 4 minifigs, a horse, and 2 trees instead of 1 minifig and some bricks.

I love sells but non of these sets are really anything I am looking for. : (

First time I glanced through the deals list, didn't think I wanted anything. Checked again just now and decided since the Ewok Attack set is currently $20... if it drops close to $10, I will grab one.

Sweet.

I'd like to know how easy it is to retrofit PF to it. Maersk is pretty good in that respect. You can build it vanilla first, and then switch to PF with only a few tweaks.

Will this one use the PF train wheels like the maersk or a PF motor like Emerald Night?

Not experienced with the trains but looking at the review the part I have highlighted looks very much like a place holder for the RF receiver.

Looking forward to seeing the new OT.

Podracers set is $52 - a pretty good deal.

That was even faster than the Ewok Attack. Join the waitlist if you are still interested, as some deal-hunters are just adding things and then deciding later.

Just so you guys know almost all the creator sets out right now are being discontinued and a Bunch of new ones are coming out.

Also its a definite the winter bakery will not be around next year, post office will most likey be there and of course the new set.

Like I said earlier Monster fighters is a definitly getting discontinued, we dont know if they will have a brand new wave for next year but they did sell great.

Thats all I have for an update right now.

*wonders how many of those sales are from resellers*

I like deals like this but none of the sets do it for me so I can thankfully hold off. I need to save that cash for the real Black Friday.
