So does that mean it was good? I've been anticipating this coming out, but more for the performances than necessarily knowing much about Sellers.

All of the Sellers/Edwards stuff is good (Pink Panther) and the Dr. Strangelove segment is good as well. It's worth checking out just to see how well Rush recreates Sellers' characters.

I watched it. I shouldn't have as I have a shitload of work to get done this week, but I did.

Not real sure what I thought. The opening couple sequences were putting me off a lot, but after they got into Sellers and his film career, it got more interesting. It also seemed really heavyhanded, at least in the beginning, like with the lighting when Sophia Loren landed. I thought it was pretty fun seeing Rush in the Pink Panther and Dr Strangelove roles though. That was really cool.

That whole scene where the pregnancy was announced... that was just bizarre. What woman wouldn't get upset if their husband casually and assumptively said that she had to get an abortion? The reactions on both sides just seemed weird in that scene.

I wasn't really feeling the whole deal with Rush playing Sellers playing the people in his life. That and the whole thing with it all being a production of a production at times. It was just convoluted, and I couldn't help thinking that HBO had already made a movie that messed with things like that in American Splendor.

There wasn't enough Tucci as Kubrick either, and Kubrick just seemed like an average person here. It would have been nice if they added more to his character, even if the focus was always on Sellers. It's not like Kubrick was lacking in personality quirks either, especially when it came to his directing.

If there was anything that I really, really enjoyed from the flick, it was the set design and the vivid colors. Top notch, and really fun. Textures leaped off the screen from many of the outfits Rush got to wear, and the sets were really nicely done.

Stanley Tucci was Kubrick? Fucking tits mate!! I have to check it now!! Like both of those guys, although, I guess if they underdid Kubrick it may end up being a let down. Whatever, HBO will probably air the gotdamn movie like a billion times before the month is up anyway..I'll catch it eventually..
