I finally got a copy of this and is it ever worth the $60. The packaging is awesome. It includes the COMPLETE Fellowship of the Ring score on 3 CDs as well a 1 DVD (with it in 5.1) and a booklet.

This is the complete score, including everything made for the EEs. It also includes any vocals such as Gandalf and Bilbo singing The Road Goes Ever On, the Elves as Frodo and Sam watch them in the forest, Merry and Pippen singing in the Green Dragon, and Aragorn singing the ballad of Beren and Luthien.

They haven't announced The Two Towers and Return of the King yet, but they'd better soon. This set is awesome.

I had no idea this was out.

And I thought it was all going to be released as one super boxset :\

That would be about $200 for 9-10 discs (ROTK will likely be 4 discs with four hours of music and all) and 3 DVDs.

They're doing them in separate sets.

Goddamn it, more money to spend!
I really have a hard time deciding which LOTR soundtrack is the best one. I'm partial to tracks from all three.
