Why is that even an issue? Who gives a fuck as long as the movie is good? Superman was never an interesting character anyway if you ask me, he's the Mary Sue of superheroes.

Except that he’s matched against other kryptonians in this movie. I think he’s a good character that you can root for - if done as per how the character was written.

optimus prime, superman, captain america, captain planet, the ideal leader, they are real in a platonic sense, and ideas are as real as flesh and blood. The ideal leader can be embodied to an extent by many leaders in many places throughout history. But it is rare for the real to match the ideal, for the imperfect to reach perfection. But it is not impossible for there to exist ideal leaders, and at most these symbolic representations would be but artistic representations of the embodiment of the ideal.

I do believe that people can live up to the ideal, and that the ideal can manifest physically. Myths may come to be built, but underneath the heroes, upon which legend is built, can be just as legendary as the legends they inspired.

Movies aight. Snyder is a hack. Doesn't understand Supermans character at all.

This ones watchable. I loved it when it came out but over time saw its flaws. BvS however? That was a blight on the genre. Made me retroactively dislike this one more.


The score is pretty good though aside from the theme I can rhinestly pinpoint much. There are W A Y better ones out there even by Zimmer imo

Yeah, never even brought myself to watch it or any of the related movies that followed it. One, it was too soon for me personally for a new Batman, and more importantly, Affleck as Batman? I laughed and moved on.

You never saw the Snyder cut of Justice League. It's a masterpiece, unless you've stopped watching any movies it'll be better than 99.9% of the drivel out there, so wouldn't be a bad way to spend your time.

I really liked it, one of the few superhero movies where the spectacle meant something. That Zod vs Superman fight was incredibly well done, you could feel how strong and fast these two super beings were, none of the Marvel movies ever managed to convey that, except for the fight with Thanos.
