The Matrix: Path of Nintendogs Images

Haters be damned I just can't pass up the opportunity to play Neo through all 3 Matrix movies...

Spot on, Neo looks like an emotionless robot, just like in the movies.

Looks crappy.

Will probably play crappy too.

If they fix only one thing, please let it be the combat. It felt too "context sensitive" and random. i managed to pull off one cool combo with Ghost, where IIRC i disarmed a guy, flipped the AK over, and went into bullet time to unload a clip into his chest. Never could replicate that.

Why must you always bring us down to reality. :lol

You're right though. It just looks better than expected, I suppose they have more time to work on this one since it doesn't have to come out before a movie. Maybe fewer bugs this time around?

Doesn't most of this game focus on the first movie? I remember hearing that somewhere...

The problem with trying to live up to films with great kung-fu like the Matrix trilogy is that they just cant be accurately recreated with the types of UI we use today, so it could be good but it'll never be good enough to silence the little voice in the back of my head saying "Not as good as in the films".

The best thing they could do imo is god of war it up with well placed QTEs and use tonnes and tonnes of context sensitive animation.

But if they really want to make a good Matrix game they should base it away from the Neo storyline, i mean its a real life world, where you can do ANYTHING, begging for an RPG. Maybe Shadowrun will inspire them

Did anybody actually read the writeup on the high res image?

Two things:

The game ending is different than the movie ending... something to the effect that the hero dying makes a bad game ending so the brothers came up with another ending for the game.

Your abilities are somehow customizable... some you learn automatically, but others you pick and choose, and Perry claims the battle engine is more like a DMC style game....

"Perry also states that he learned never to make a Matrix movie without playing as the character everyone wants/expects to be."

i'm sure i'm in the minority among gamers, especially those who just heard about the game coming out at EB, but i liked the idea of playing Ghost and Niobe. It gave the story a chance to be fleshed out, Unfortunately, what was fleshed out was pretty boring compared to the movie. Everything in the game meshed with the movie from what i could tell, but it just wasn't that compelling, and it didn't really recreate the feeling of Wachowski direction that the movies had.

Also, shooting a pipe to have it spew steam a few feet in front of you should not kill you. Nor should you die from touching the ground after stepping off of a ladder. Yes, i'm still quite bitter.
