Zordon. A powerful space wizard. Trapped in another dimension. His purpose and role was obviously to raise up amazing new leaders and equip them with powers and weapons to fight the wave of evil that was corrupting the universe.

This mythos is what set the american show apart from the japanese show. It's a great storyline that deserved far better treatment than it got from Saban Entertainment. Older me still does mourn for the early shows' writers because they had some truly interesting storylines that were more befitting of a Star Wars style plot than a children's TV series.

So I watched the more recent Power Rangers feature film and I kind of enjoyed it for what it was. Power Rangers nostalgia grab with a "Chronicle" element to it.

In the movie, Zordon was the Red Ranger a long time ago (an alien), but failed and died on Earth. I guess his consciousness was then uploaded into some sort of system.

He's basically you.

Good Power Ranger Themes ended after Time Force. Might just be because that's the time I quit the show though. (It's also imo the best series in general)
