The most misunderstood entertainment media platforms on SM, YT, or MSM?

My pick:

Redlettermedia are easily one of the most misunderstood entertainment platforms.

No matter how much I tell people not to take them so seriously, they insist on scrutinizing every little thing they say or do as if they were the president or something - who aren't allowed to change their views/opinions on anything.

There is also this weird sentiment that RLM are angry men...I don't know where this comes from. They seem the happiest of any film channel on youtube. They have become jaded on the low quality of film nowadays that they just enjoy making fun of it. They come across like they made their peace with shitty movies a long time ago and have just given up on Hollywood - but still have a good time laughing and making fun of the film industry.

This happens mostly on forums with very sensitive people who can't handle movies they love being made fun of in a lighthearted manner.

What many don't understand is that RLM don't care what you think of them. They don't care that they get all sorts of nasty labels attached to them. They don't care how many times you call them fat, balding middle aged men. They aren't gonna start going soft on film just because you accuse them of hating everything.

They don't pretend to be professional film critics, but get accused of that as well.

There's no reasoning with people who insist on scrutinizing RLM for "contradicting" themselves. Scrutinizing them with such seriousness misses the point of their channel.

I mean really - some actually get mad at the Nerd Crew Series which is comedic parody. Their mocking of Disney worshipping gets people so triggered.

Another:

Jerem,y Jahns - maybe because of his association with collider. I see Jeremy Jahns as like....what Kyle Kulinski is to The Young Turks (not to get too political). He is friends with collider but recently he has been far more individualistic - calling out Disney and the way they handled SW. He also had the guts to express confusion of why there were only 4 or 5 reviews for Sticks and Stones and said that he thinks many critics actually find it hilarious but are too scared to say so.
