Zomg, Save Big Team Battle! :o

UPDATED Ranked Big Team

* Ranked Big Team will be worth double EXP for the month of June
* All restrictions are being removed.
* Fixed bug from May Mid-Month update that made the playlist require Legendary (The June playlist will only require Heroic)
* If Ranked Big Team does not perform well this month, it may be retired in July.

Need mawr BTB Avalanche, everyone play BTB like there is no tomorrow... starting tomorrow! ;p

No u.

And Mike agrees with me.

Would it be possible that Master Chief and Cortana will actually be rescueing Dr. Halsey and the other startans who are now stuck inside the slip stream of onyx? (for halo 4) That way MC and Cortana wont be alone.

While this would be interesting, I think Bungie is wary of including the other spartans in the main Halo series. See the beginning of 2, where there were at least 3 or 4 Spartan II's, if not more, that should have traveled back with the MC to Earth.....but for some reason, they're all mysteriously MIA.

It could be technical issues, such as planning out friendly AI that have shields and such, are supposed to be as accurate as the player, and as deadly....yet still follow his commands and such.

Or, it could be more aesthetic/story, the "last-man-standing" to fight taking precedent in the story to help immersion.

MLG Halo is for nubs that can't use the spartan lazer or time a bodacious splatter in a ghost.

Eazy is talking smack about MLG huh......is there a certain player classification that isn't allowed in MLG??:lol :lol

I'd be pretty surprised if RBTB still sucks with all of the restrictions removed, not to mention the double XP.
It will if people act like they were raised by wolves anytime they get near the Warthog.

Thermite ran me off the side of a cliff last night, I just wanted to bareback snipe, and he betrayed my trust. I never do those types of shenanigans. sadface

I was kind of hoping Social Slayer would go back up to 5, oh well, I'm sure if RBTB is retired they might introduce a 5-6 player ranked list or something.

Re: Team Objective Change Needed

Remove symmetrical game-types from one-sided maps like Ghost Town. Why is this here! :(

wait, wat

UPDATED Team Slayer

* Slightly decreased weighting on BR start gametypes
No Team Rifles?! :'(

UPDATED Team Doubles

* Mixed Party Skill Restrictions turned back on to thwart boosters
A+
UPDATED DLC

* Objective Increased focus on asymmetrical games on Avalanche, symmetrical games on Ghost Town

Holy shit @ the all the formats and questions for this Bungie Favorites thing, Luke.

I feel like a fucking lawyer. Srius biznis.
I am a fucking lawyer. I could help
but I'd be too expensive
.

Also, 1v1 sounds fun, 3 balls sounds like you should go to a doctor.

Consider the Ghost Town thing something of an experiment.

DLC Objective is in a weird position. 6v6 is not quite enough for a full Avalanche game, and a little more than you want for a full Ghost Town game.

Bottom line is it's not a significant increase in weighting, it's just an attempt to cope with a difficult situation. If it doesn't work out, it'll change in July.

For MLG I was hoping

-Min team size changed to 4 (3v3 doesn't exist in MLG and I hate it WAH)

Also I hope 1v1 is a 110% speed gametype even though I know in the back of my mind it probably isn't...

Please reconsider adding Heroic maps to Objective DLC. I so do not want to play default Foundry. I HATE IT.

Foundry will only show up in King of the Hill, and rarely at that.

Voc I just read your speculation about the Shield Worlds, and I have to ask. Would it be possible that Master Chief and Cortana will actually be rescueing Dr. Halsey and the other spartans who are now stuck inside the slip stream of onyx? (for halo 4) That way MC and Cortana wont be alone.
I think there is a very unlikely possibility of that happening. The core canon and the supplemental canon don't mix very often unless its a mentioning, dialogue or something to that effect. A lot of people felt like the other Spartans would return in Halo 3 and they were convinced that the new permutations were evidence for it, but it never happened. Why? The core canon is directed by Bungie the supplemental canon (although approved by Bungie) is largely extraneous. Very rarely will the two merge and when they do it will almost be imperceivable to most players.

The content I used in my article was non-material and did not deal with the characters or stories of the Ghosts novel, but the raw evidence supporting the Forerunner's shield worlds and what they held in terms of architecture and property. I was inclined to write this article because of the various things within Halo 3 which talked about these installations - the terminals, the bestiarum and most significantly, Guilty Spark.

Could the next game involve completely new characters, unrelated to the Master Chief and Cortana?

Sure thing.

Could the structure at the end of Halo 3 be something other than a shield world?

Of course it could.

Will the game involve something completely separate from the structure we saw in the Legendary ending?

I'm going to say "No" and the reason being is that I don't think Bungie would have placed that structure in the cinematic if it was just an incidental reference to the Forerunners. I feel like they did it on purpose and that purpose involves the next Halo game - regardless if the Chief takes center stage or not, this specific structure will play a very large role.

Thanks for the explanation. It makes a little more sense now. As we found out last night, 1-flag on ghost town is absolutely broken. No matter how good the defense is, the offense can spawn and inch the flag all the way to the base very easily.

Example: We had 28 flag stops that game, once they got it out the front door it was only wave after wave of them. We even went +59 that game yet still couldn't stop them. It seems to me the easy fix would be to just shorten the flag return time. Symmetrical Objective matches really don't work though, it's pretty unbalanced.

Hmm, never got the chance to play an objective game on it. I was hoping that if anything it would be multiflag (even though I don't know how that plays) because spawning wouldn't be as much on an issue. 6v6 in foundry seems pretty crowded though, especailly if everyone is rushing for the hill. I'm sure you guys... tested it though, so I won't knock it till I've tried it.

What I was really hoping for was a big team DLC and small team DLC playlist. There's enough maps that support 8v8 (Standoff, Rat's Nest, and Avalanche) and 4v4 would be great for Foundry, Ghost Town, Blackout, and standoff. Of course each playlist would have both objective and slayer games in it.

And what's the veto records for Covies and VIP?

I understand what you mean. 1-CTF and 1 Bomb would work better in Ghost Town for DLC Objective.

My complaint above is because I and my friends got Multi Flag on Ghost Town the other night. We were blue team and of course, vetoes do not work as you would think since 4 does not override the map. Why should the others veto? They get a HUGE helping hand. Please, please discard symmetrical game-types from Ghost Town in Team Objective. For DLC Objective, I don't mind, but for ranked... it's not balanced at all and it is basically a win hands down for red team.

Aye, friend! I support this idea!

DLC Major
5-8 players (Rat's Nest, Standoff, Avalanche)

DLC Minor
3-5 players (Standoff, Foundry, Ghost Town, Blackout)

And as you wrote, mix of Slayer and Objectives.

Does anyone know of a good Foundry variant that's meant for One-sided Flag or bomb games that I could download anywhere? Any help is appreciated.

I don't play much video games in the summer and I assume most people do not either, so I doubt they'd release DLC they want to sell well during that season.

I'm pretty excited about the changes in DLC and RBTB. The DLC Objective playlist will get a nice shot by having Rat's Nest and Standoff in the mix again (it's essentially been an Avalanche playlist for a while, which was a good thing). Ranked BTB will hopefully get a new life this month and people will discover the Heavy gametype variants. (Which I have yet to play.)

Really, the only option that I'll be missing is the ability to get 16 players on Avalanche outside of the very lucky occasion in RBTB. It's a hard problem to address, I know. Still, on the balance I think it's a good month for vehicular mayhem.

Also, if RBTB goes away, I hate all of you.

Focusing on some BTB for a whole month would be sweet. Big battles with fun vehicles is what got me into Halo in the first place, it's about time it got some attention with this double exp dealio.

I have played Heavy Avalanche and it was AWESOME!

BTB would be awesome... if it were only objective game types. In other words JUST assault and CTF.

If you wanna play slayer, play slayer, if you wanna play vip? will fuck off :lol
