I imagine we'll hear about the August playlist update soon. The recent updates have made it sound like there's a pretty big overhaul coming to the playlists and map layouts. They've gotten better over the past few months, I'm sure that will continue.

Final request before we (hopefully) find out what is in the mix: Social BTB only has five game variants, while Ranked has eight. Social could use some of that variety. One-flag and one-bomb for Last Resort are not even in the Social hopper at all.

(Also, the gametype % in SWAT add up to 74%.)

It should also be boarded up for oddball games too. I don't mind having it for AR slayer, but BR or Sniper shouldn't have it.

Social BTB could use some Heavies treatment too. Multi Flag Heavies on Valhalla/Avalanche is a dream.

I've played it once. It was so damn awesome.

(Side note: after bitching about the play list details not being on bungie.net for months, it's nice to have them there so we can talk about exactly what is and is not included. So thanks Shishka for putting it together.)
 
sigh. You guys are insane at Geowars 2 and I don't understand why or how. :( I thought having an 8.9 million score in Evolved would've helped for a while (and it did, since I was 3+ million ahead of Blood and a bit ahead of Eazy), but of course, Eazy signs on for like 10 minutes and doubles my score in everything
although Blood had to play Geowars last night for a few hours to beat my scores so I think I can beat him again :P

What are your Geowars 2 secrets, people??

And to no radar: YES. When you come up with certain strategies about escaping an enemy, evading him during a close-up battle, or trying to flank, it ALL gets ruined because of that dot. I say the radar should only show up if your enemy is shooting their weapon/throwing grenades/equipment within proximity of the tracker. Not just because they're walking around.

I realize they're trying to make RBTB more attractive by throwing all the good weighting and gametypes in they've made SBTB a mess. If giving players 2x EXP isn't enough then maybe it would be best if RBTB died. Bungie shouldn't have to force players from one playlist into another. Make the gametypes comparable and then let the community decide which playlist they want to play.

That is because the hit boxes on an elite's head is approximately 74% smaller then the spartan models. Consistency.

Radar is one thing that Call of Duty 4 seems to have nailed. It allows for stealthy attacks while still allowing players to see the general locations of others when they fire.
 
I didn't realise that social playlists had hidden TruSkill. That is rad.

In that case, if Bungie can fix the party splitting problem with AU2, I hope they just move RBTB's gametypes straight over to Social BTB, and kill it off. I don't mind if games are slightly less competitive if we get the rad gametypes and fast matching, while not having to deal with being put on the other team from my friends.

If it makes you feel any better it took me at least 3 tries to beat your Evolved score.

I love how fired up things are around here today, and just think about what'll go down tomorrow when the AU2 info is released and everyone's bitchin about stat resets.

I so want it to happen. I wanna know what it feels like to change ranks once again. All those that play solely for the rank will hopefully jump ship and play COD while I enjoy a cleaner community.

Essentially the All Scottish Playlist stripped of its title. While I applaud and recognize the gesture, I cannot and will not find satisfaction until public acknowledgment is made.

A little early Autumn cleaning, eh? It wouldn't bother me a damned bit if all those stupid XP/rank boosters upped and left.

Also, it would be fun to see how far I could go up in rank since I wouldn't have played 5289428 Team Slayer matches and could actually move up.
 
A stats reset wouldn't accomplish much. You'd get to your True Skill in about 80 or so games and then continue to lose just as much as you win until you get better.
 
It's 3v3v3. I've played two games, one Team Swords on Snowbound (every bit as good as it sounds) and the other was Stab-Out on Cold Storage (sword Eliminatio, basically). Anyone played anything else?

As for the ranks, I'm hoping AU2 has something to do with the ranks. Right now I'm thinking about the quote from a BWU awhile ago where they said they were looking at the EXP and rank systems.

Everytime I think I've gotten a really good score in GeoWars2, I look at the leaderboards and realize that my "really good" is a lot of people's average. :(
 
Just played Team Melee. No thanks. The games were laggy (Halo 3's been like that lately), and just a mess. It's 3v3v3 and I got Hammer Hill on Guardian as the first one, and Team Swords on Guardian as the second game.

Of course grenade starts are in a melee playlist so you can guess what everyone did besides meleeing. :lol

I guess it's an okay playlist if you want that Slice n Dice or to get your social K/D up.

And to add to the poopyness, my 2nd Halo 3 disc is freked up. I'll be at Target later today buying my 3rd copy of Halo 3 due to crappy discs (luckily Target has it on sale for 37.99) :(
 
Team Melee sounds like my kind of business. Can't wait to get home and play.

I'm on the verge of my first one. It's in rough shape. It has all these spots on it that I can't buff out.

Get some water boiling, then grab your disc using pliers, and dip it into the boiling water just at the surface, so only the bottom end of the disc is touching. Then, buff out the spots.

...Always worked for me with my Xbox 1 discs. I take a lot better care of my discs now, so I haven't done it in awhile.

feel like that has already happened played a bunch of team slayer today and didn't get snipers once
