Word to the wise, the following websites should be avoided until after you completed the game (and well, always):

1. GameFAQs boards, because the site is full of juveniles that will post spoilers in topic headings.
2. Something Awful, because the spoilers will be made into a banner and posted for all to see (like they did with BioShock).
3. 4chan
4. 2chan
5. If you have a lot of people on your MSN buddy list that you don't really know (I do, because of past "fame" exploits, during my G-Faqs days). Delete or block them now, because they will likely change their name to a spoiler.
6. Most non-GAF/non-Bungie gaming sites.
7. RA, because it's where all the scum of the internet live (******).

This should be put into the OP if it hasn't already. People really need to know what to avoid.

Soooo... Halo 3 will be my first Halo experience. I'll be playing co-op with 3 other dudes who also have no idea about the franchise. Anyone care to sum up the story of the first two games so we actually know what the hells going on when we first set foot in the game? Just a very basic outline.

I've never been a console fps fan. But you can't go wrong with 4 player co-op. I'm looking forward to it.

I'd suggest picking up the triple pack, its like 20 bucks now and you could probably find a used one fore like 15.
