So has everyone chosen their "map of choice" (Putting unrevealed maps aside) ? What I mean as map of choice is as in the map people would love to play multiple times with the same party or a map they see enjoying over and over again ? For me , it's Epitaph. The day that was announced, I was so happy. The beautiful art style, the indoor man cannons. the ins and outs and turn-arounds.

1 Flag CTF on Epitaph with added Forgerey = Win.

That's just to sign out of his profile, he's not actually signed in to Xbox Live. You can tell by the "what are you waiting for?" text.

Actually, I get the same "What are you waiting for?" crap on my dashboard when signed into Live. At the time of getting a 360 on launch, I wasn't 18, but now I am. Although Xbox Live doesn't seem to care. :lol

Sandtrap and Narrows look like a lot of fun.

I'm not trying to fool anyone.

Just saying that it doesn't look that photoshopped. I tried to take it at a similar angle.
Yeah, I'm just playing around. The photo does not look photoshopped.

i hope theres about 15 to 20 solid maps in H3 from the beginning. hopefully no crappy maps like terminal or that lame purple map, gemini. no turf-like maps either, no elongations, and once again, no terminals.

theres a reason why there were quitters in Halo 2.

You do realize that people love those maps too, right? And that simply because MaX_PL quits out of them, doesn't mean they're crappy.

Quitter.

I would be very surprised if there were 20. I think 15 might be the upper limit of my predication.

There's not. There will be "around the same amount as Halo 2 when it launched".

Turf and Terminal rock, so STFU.

More maps like Relic, best map ever. Well at least.. best 1 flag map on an island.

Well, I still think its photoshopped. The horizontal steps on the top of the boxart and it also looks like it has a plastic slip cover, But it could be just wishful thinking. :/

Lawl. Naming all the maps I love.

Stinkles, are there any shots released of what the game case insert art looks like for the LE? Also, in the LE do the bonus discs come inside of the game case (like a multi-disc deal), or in a separate case? Still trying to decide if I want to swap my friend his steel case for whatever the LE case looks like, still not enough info :(

Hah, my friend and I were having this same conversation today as we went to GameStop so he could put some money down on his LE. He's on the brink of moving his pre-order down to a regular edition because he badly wants to know the boxart for the game in the LE.

Wasn't it already confirmed that it's Regular Boxart for Legendary?

to be fair, i only like the mlg maps. lockout, midship, warlock, and sanctuary.

collossus was a favorite of mine but mlg snipers was discontinued so i no longer played that map. i also love coagulation but that too was only a map i played the first few months of Halo 2, during the standby era; and then i stopped matchmaking and started customs. ivory tower was a good asymetric map but can be a bit too random at times. oh and burial grounds/mounds, whichever, awesome map during the standby era. ohhhhh the standby era, i loved sitting in the lobby for what seemed like hours just so we wouldnt get standbyed. those were the days...

and thats why i like mlg so dont talk crap about it. standby and bridging ruined mm.

I Love Bees was a good time. Did you follow Iris? Cause those audio transmissions are neat.

This is how it all Begins!

It's worth watching the videos. Although with HBO and ABO being closed until Halo 3 is out, don't expect the 4th to come out soon. The thread should give you all you need though.

It's no ILB but it was a fun way to pass the summer.
Wow thanks for that link.

It took me on one hell of a ride. I had been following the Iris ARG for a bit, and then lost interest along the way. I seem to have missed out on a lot. Great thread. Really makes me appreciate the Halo universe that much more :D.

Such a great story that has many layers for those that really dive deep into it all.

Quitting and de-ranking ruined matchmaking. At least standby doesn't occur very often anymore, but the other two do.

not really unless you actually cared about your level.

standby and bridging made the game unplayable which is much worse than having your rank drop because of quitters.

I think 15-20 maps from the start is a bit unrealistic. I say 10-12 maps shipped with the game.

Hmm, so far we have:

Last Resort
Epitaph (sexual chocolate)
Narrows
Sandtrap
Valhalla
Snowbound
High Ground
Guardian

What we have left is:

1) "Gym Class"

2) Possible Chill out re-make ( a quick snippet is shown during the playtest at Bungie on the MP ViDoc )

3) Warthog Inc.

And possibly some more.

First multiplayer map I'll be trying out is probably Guardian. Aching to see how it is compared to Lockout, if they really have improved upon the things that made Lockout fun.
