Fell and couldn't get up on expert in no mercy finale. Boomer was just standing there watching me.

Man! Is the Versus mode Blood Harvest finale glitchy for anyone else? The second tank disappears instead of spawning, and unfortunately the finale doesn't continue until the second tank is killed. Survivors are stuck in limbo listening to the "incoming tank" music until the Infected team kills everyone.

To add to the weirdness, the game apparently assumes that the APC has already come and gone, as the fence it busts through during the exit cinematic is magically broken!

Very strange... happened both times I tried a BH campaign today.

Wow, this game just took the most gigantic dump ever right on my face.

Pop, Mutfox, Val, and I should have gotten Nothing Special. I don't think any specials hit us, unless you cannot even be hit by a pounce even if the Hunter is meleed off or killed off before any physical damage is done. We got to the very end, and the BOAT killed Val.

So, despite Pop and my tries for the past week, we felt we should have gotten it. We want to just play the game again, so Mut agreed to just kick special infected on his server. We beat the campaign, and I see Mut gets Nothing Special, and Pop. Awesome! Val gets a couple other things and Nothing Special, too. But then the messages stop.

Finally got the NS achievement, but not in the way I would have hoped to. Red Scarlet's achievement didn't register for her. :|

Given how glitchy most servers and achievements, and the game in general seem to be, it's a lot of work to put into trying to get stuff like that now. x_X I mean, they still haven't even figured out how to get Lamb 2 Slaughter working, unless I missed the announcement.

The PC version is patched regularly. The 360 version isn't.

How are you doing that?

I thought you're supposed to spook the witch with the flashlight first and then shoot her in the face with the shot gun but that hasn't yielded anything good.

well im using the autoshotgun, sneaking up behind without the flash light and when she starts to growl and get up i shoot her in the head but so far the desired result has not been achived

The best way to practice for cr0wned is to start up a single player campaign, do sv_cheats 1, god 1, and then z_spawn witch around the starting area and sneak up on her. this way when you startle her you don't die, and you learn to cr0wn the witch without getting the achievement so you can get it ingame.

I still completely, totally suck at it, but it's good practice.

I got the game a bit back and I am having trouble finding a team that doesn't just give up on the last act of an extreme campaign, purposely waking the witch every chance they get, setting off alarms or something stupid like that. I'm also down with getting some of the harder achievements like nothing special.

I just did my first playthrough of No Mercy, and it was as inconsequential as I was led to believe from the demo ages ago. I'm definitely gonna have to con some friends into picking this up to get any fun out of it.

flash light has nothing to do with it, just walk up to her and blast her repeatedly as she rises. its not hard at all, you'll get it soon enough. you dont need to aim down at her, just straight ahead, and as she pops into view, you pop her.

I just run up to her face from the front and blast her as she's getting up.

Something corrupted during the finale, so I just deleted the video.

Does no one else think it's odd that Francis, who is clearly portrayed as illiterate ("I'm gonna teach you how to READ!") still catches the allusion to Atlas Shrugged and remarks he hates Ayn Rand?

Clearly, he's a disgruntled LITERATURE TEACHER who became a redneck biker. :(

so the other night I accidentally startled the witch going up the stairs to the subway train in nm2 in versus

I just ran around for a minute and then her music stopped and we just went on

In the street before the saferoom she slashed me to death. There was no second witch, no ___ startled message.

So weird.

Witches never forget.

I startled one in NM3 in the street once, then I ran up the ladder, over the roof, and into the building (the panic event route).

I walked into the warehouse, the witch came up behind me and slashed me. Music was dead and everything. This was like five or so minutes after I had startled her, and the team and I had lingered in the building for several minutes while the zombie hordes threw themselves at us in the crescendo event. It's almost as if she waited for things to die down or something.

Inside an atrium in Dead Air, I think...there's a statue of Atlas holding up the world.

Of course, I never hear things that Francis says since I always have the sound turned down because of loud guns and hunter screams.

You vanished! Scarlet, Pop, and I were doing okay, once I learned what to actually do in some of those levels.

Aside from the tank coming up behind us when I thought I was the rear guard. ;_;

My eyes got tired and I had to take a break. And then Steam went wonky.

Will put up video tomorrow, although levels 2 and 3 on the previous try were cooler (I was trapped by zombs during a Tank right before emergency door on BH2, and a Hunter was through door on BH3 before the trainyard, so was a witch, and I hit her but we killed her as she ran at me). Maybe I should just trade out BH2 and 3 from the failed try.

Yeah, just look at the timer of when the Hunter pounced/first dies..and it could have been 1 off and we got it at exactly the 1 second limit.
