Agreed. And in somewhat related news, Lesnar got a new tattoo:Brian Fellows said:I'll just read this thread when I get home from work. They're generally much more entertaining than the shows.

Let him go the way of Lesnar, imo.

3kuSaS said:No, because Rocky couldn't cut it wrestling in JapanBrock is 200 times more talented than the Rock ever was.
WWE is the only losers int he whole Brock situation, because Brock can make big money elsewhere without the fulltime schedule, and he can continue to try to make it in football.
Except when you figure in:
a) Brock may arguably be better in-ring than the Rock, but the Rock is far more talented on the mic and connecting with a crowd than Brock ever was (with the exception of Brock's salsa dancing). Right or wrong, that's what the WWE is about these days. Being able to talk and be passable in the ring (see Cena, John) is far more important than being able to go in-ring, and stammer outside of it (see Benoit, Chris). If you can do both, then that's the ticket to success, although the WWE doesn't always see it when it's staring them in the face (see Tian, Chris).
b) Brock Lesnar cares about wrestling about as much as Goldberg does. The only reason he's even in Japan right now is that his NFL dream flopped, and the WWE wouldn't pay his over-inflated asking price. Which is surprising, considering they gave him everything on a silver platter, pushed him to the moon, just so he could bail right when the company needed him most (hint: it's not really that surprising.) He's over there precisely because he can get big bucks doing it, not for some inflated idea of "love for the sport".

Nope - he got over thanks to Paul Heyman's mic work. When Lesnar debuted, he was just another vanilla gorilla. Heyman's constant "NEXT BIG THING" catchphrase had more to do with Lesnar eventually catching on with the crowd than his wrestling skills.3kuSaS said:Exactly the reason why WWE and its fans tend to piss me off. Lots of old guys come out, the wrestling is toned down and boring, lots of talking, I don't care and look forward to TNA repeat that I already saw on Saturday.Fire_Fox said:This 3 hour event is going to be huge, can't wait to see what raw has in store tonight. Anyone got any predictions?
The longtime TNT-USA race should soon tighten with return of World Wrestling Entertainment to USA.
"Wrestling alone will give it a couple of tenths in its prime-time average," Mr. Brooks said. "Don't think that's enough to put USA past TNT, but I think it's going to be a tighter race."
Fourth-place finisher Spike TV, WHICH HAS JUST LOST WRESTLING (emphasis mine), is also about to feel the impact of the move to USA. Spike TV is up 33 percent this quarter, continuing a string of successful quarters due to "CSI," "WWE Raw" and "Ultimate Fight Night."
"Spike has got some challenges coming, because 'CSI' and wrestling have been their fuel, getting triple their prime-time average," Mr. Brooks said. "So when you pull out wrestling, that's probably going to deflate them out of the top 10. 'CSI' is a strong franchise, but they haven't built things around it like TNT."
Spike TV spokesperson Robert Pini said the network has a strategy to offset THE LOSS OF WRESTLING (emphasis mine).
"WWE Raw [is] a mere two hours on our network and a franchise that is in steady decline," he said. "With 'CSI,' original programming like our 'Ultimate Fighter' franchise and our movie acquisitions, we are confident that we will remain one of the top 10 networks."

Whats going on in the WWE today? I havent paid attention to wrestling for a long while...
dskillzhtown said:The only thing that irks me is the fact that Raw's Champion is in a match with a non-wrestler. I mean, what a way to show value to the title. The biggest show of the year and your champ is in action in a joke match. I am sure there will be some swerve or something, but wouldn't it make more sense to have Cena booked in a high profile match instead?
