Seeing how the thread for Spike Video Game Awards show did so well last year, I figured I'd start up another one for tonight's festivities. Sure we know the winners, but come on - Sam Jackson! LESS THAN 9 HOURS! CAN YOU DIG IT?!

I'm just glad its gonna be over so I wont have to see it advertised on SPike anymore with those stupid commercials (though I liked the animated stuff).
 
Are they going to be running trailers for games before the show like they did last time? THat was the reason to watch last years show.
 
My mom called me last week to tell me that there was something about E3 on Spike. I told her thanks for the thought, but...

1. I've been to E3 six times and don't really care to watch it on TV.
2. Spike TV can't even pronounce the game titles.

As for the awards show, I think the pain of watching it would outweight any hilarity, so I'll just read about it in this here thread.

I think more game designers are getting in on the action

"Hey guys, all we have to do is make embarrass ourselves on this pathetic show and our game is going to sell more. Plus, there's lots of free drinks."



This has to be EA's favorite thing to do. They already make games for casual gamers, so there's no shame in appearing.

And why do they keep giving Shigeru Miyamoto credit for everything? He didn't design Nintendogs, well at least not in the same sense that Jaffe did God of War.
 
It was a fun show to attend, for sure...that said, what the hell?!? They cut out my little political rant AND my shout out to my wife...the bastards!

Well, I guess as long as Jaffe enjoyed himself, that's okay.

I consider AIAS a far better show for recognizing the quality games released throughout the year.

I mean, do we really need rappers and games that rated in the 5's getting nominations?
