nope.. according to pstwo manual i need to turn on the progressive scan option while watching dvd. I followed the manual (go to setup, tv setup and after display option there should be progressive option... but for some reason i dont have one) weird... I thought slim and newer fat ones support progressive. my dvd player version is 3.10U

Sorry if this has been asked already, but is there any way to save my high scores from the classic arcade versions? I can't seem to find a method to save anywhere.

Hehe. I didn't bother watching the movies, but judging from what I see in the screens his moveset is exactly the same as his demon version. It really would've been nice of namco to have included both versions as selectable characters, with regular Jinpachi being a much toned down version of his ultra-cheap demon self. Oh well.
So I unlocked Heihachi recently, and damn...his new moves makes him even more powerful. I end up finding use for just about every new move he got. The coolest one is d+3+4 followed by 1 or 1, 2 or even 2. Which becomes stronger the longer you charge, and stuns the enemy even if they block, whee. And his SS+2, or d/f+1+2! And one of his old trump cards, qcf+2, is even more effective than before. And I love his new jumping kick (u/f+4). He was my favorite character before, and now he's even more favorite. 
BTW, do you unlock anything from playing through Arcade Battle mode?

So I've had this for a few days and I LOVE IT! It's the best Tekken ever--so fast, the characters rock my face off (even ones I didn't really like before) and I don't really know how to explain it, just about everything has been improved to supreme awesomeness! The stories are very well done, either in drama or humor, and I'm extremely glad about the music as Tekken 4's was just pathetic.
My favorite characters are Xiaoyu (as always) and Heihachi, but there is a lot to learn here and I enjoy everyone well enough, which is impressive considering how many there are! My best time so far is with Wang, like 5'05" or something, so apparently I'm good with him but he's not the best IMO. This Raven guy is... interesting. I like the teleporting moves and I dressed him up like Naruto, it's so fun.
Two small issues:
1) The new boss redefines cheap. Gotta love that palm strike that stops you in the middle of any move and keeps you stunned for 5 seconds.
2) I think you have to tap sidestep too fast, there have been several times that I would accidentally just crouch instead and get a beatdown. VF4:Evo handles the distinction between crouch and sidestep taps perfectly.

You get 100k for beating the story mode with a character you havent before, and you get 1mill for beating the Devil Within game the first time (+the money you pick up along the way in the game, 80-100k per level) then the second time you go through you can collect icons that you cash in for some of the 500k items.
So I take it nothing different was ever found in the Japanese version? I was hoping to at least see some more extra costumes.
