Lafayette, because he is one of the more interesting characters and one of the better actors in the cast so it would be a shame to lose him.
And I really don't want the "that's the way it happened in the books" excuse. Tara is white in the books (or so I've been told - I've never read them) and alot of the minor character's subplots are completely fabricated for the show, so don't get rid of some of the strongest actors and characters in your show for the sake of being able to claim you at least hit a certain number of plot points from the books verbatim. That's the same ridiculousness that made us lose

They never discussed Tara's race in the book, nor her relation to Lafayette.
He did die in the book tho, but the show changed much about the first book, so no telling what will happen. In the first book, Bill wasn't the one that staked the vampire that was stealing from Eric, Eric was the one who killed him
I'm just hoping the brother's Church of the Hating of Vampires subplot doesn't last very long. I don't want something that predictable in my Allan Ball show. Not no way, not no how.
