The only way Nintendo will get third-party support is to commit a bannable offense.

Look, most of us know why Nintendo doesn't have third-party support.

  • Third parties don't want to release games on Nintendo systems.
If Mighty No. 9 has taught us anything it's that additional SKUs are a pain. Supporting more hardware is time consuming and major publishers want to keep the number of SKUs to a minimum. Since Nintendo continues to follow the beat of their own drum, it leaves them isolated.

It's not sales numbers or specs. It's the lack of desire to do so. Publishers/developers listen to their customers. Maybe not Capcom, but most of them try to. If that is the case, the method of last resort is a bannable offense on this forum and I am willing to risk just mentioning the idea because I want to see more good software on Nintendo systems.

It's time to do what gamers do best - bitch, complain and annoy every developer/publisher you can find on every twitter, facebook, and comment section. If you want games on Nintendo systems. Demand it. And after demanding and getting what you want, buy it. That is the only way. You better do it soon before the excuses pile up and the NX is already out. Get these bastards to commit.

In case I disappear, godspeed and good luck.

A vocal minority is not going to cause massive corporations to see dollar signs that they wouldn't see otherwise, and that's what it boils down to.

Are you suggesting that EA and Activision will consult the posts of banned gaf accounts before they decide as to which platform they'll release their games on?

I'm not sure that a massive online harassment campaign, aimed at developers and publishers, will yield any positive outcome for the Nintendo brand.

So the reason the Wii U got such limited third party support wasn't because the games that did release on the console sold like absolute shit, but because people didn't beg for ports in comment sections enough?

People didn't buy the WiiU ports after non-stop whinging on social media.

Situation is set in stone.

I can think of better ways to spend my time than to harass publishers because they won't release games that nobody wants to buy anyway.

The martyr the gaming community needs /s. You sound a little full of yourself guy, demanding a game to be ported to Nintendo systems only works if the companies that do so can make money, and for 3rd party games on Nintendo that's unlikely to happen. Pestering a bunch of developers doesn't help it just will make you look like an ass.

I don't know if dumb suggestions that will never take off would be considered bannable.. someone put me in check if I'm wrong.

ok great, should I include censorship or region locking in there too or is that for later

If there's a 1% chance that third parties will help Nintendo with software, we have to treat it as a certainty in terms of our response. It's not about our analysis. It's about our response.

Why do some Nintendo fans believe 3rd parties hate Nintendo so much. Companies like money. Nintendo consoles don't make them money.

This thread is gonna get locked, I can feel it.

Anyway, no, don't do that kind of stuff. Its not helping anyone.

Petitions can raise awareness just fine if at all without there being negative lashings against devs/pubs themselves.

Listen here you developers! If you don't stop making games for platforms that have a customer base for one that doesn't then I'll... I'll... I WON'T BUY YOUR STUFF.

Or Nintendo could, you know, do their job and get developers to make games for their system? You're asking us to harass people until they break and lose money so you can get a game on NX?

Is this real life?

It's not sales numbers or specs.

I disagree with this.

It is all about sales numbers. If it costs "too much" to port or even perhaps create a lesser version of a game for any other platform (not just Nintendo products), then the game will likely not be made. It depends on how confident the suits are that the game will appeal to the platform's userbase.

Moaning bitches will get 3rd parties on nintendo consoles.

NX will have third party games at launch and if enough people buy them the support will continue. If people refuse because a better version is elsewhere and buy that better version or refuse to buy the game at all, third parties will see no audience on the console and move on.

If I don't get to play the next Assassin's Creed on my NX then I demand Yves to be put in jail for disrespecting me and my rights

No developer said "Screw Nintendo systems!", especially when they have something on the way that most people don't know about yet. Anything from Nintendo are always exciting compared to Xbox and PS. Xbox and PS simply means more power. Nintendo has the ability to either sit in the back, or completely flip the industry over for the better. Yes, it's simply THAT black and white.

The most important third parties in the industry have always been up to developing for Nintendo, and for most of modern devs, Nintendo are the reason they have their jobs due to that inspiration as kids/teens when they revived the crashed market, but due to Nintendo's decisions, it's not worth the money and time due to Nintendo's choices and complications, such as the WiiU's hardware compared to current gen, Wii's hardware and focus on motion controls, Gamecube and N64's storage media, etc.

There's also no reason for Gaffers to get banned for something like this. That's simply ridiculous.

Remember when we actually had 3rd party support on the Wii U with multiplats?

Remember how poor performance turned people away from buying them?
