What the fuck? It's a shooter with QTE's thrown in. Are Resi 4 and Vanquish QTE shitfests? People jump to some really weird conclusions.
Are we going to see any of that metal bending, cloth ripping, fire burning action?

I disagree. I can't think of a single other game (on console or PC) that looks anywhere near this good except for The Division.

Holy hell, it looks even more next-gen than Second Son. When it seamlessly transitioned from cut-scene to gameplay, the realisation didn't hit me until moments later. Jaw-dropping stuff.
If Sony can get the game out this Fall then they're laughing. It doesn't matter that it's a new IP, just run tv ads full of in-game footage and heads will be turned.

Sorry, this is not just addressed to you, but I've seen a lot of comments like this and I don't get it. Feels like it's just criticism for criticism's sake.
Killzone SF looks incredible? 'Yeah, but the gameplay is not innovative' So's every COD and BA every year.
TLOU is a TPS. Uncharted is a TPS. Tomb Raider (has become, lol) a TPS.
What will it take to wow you? Wall-punching mechanics? Gratuitous gore just for the sake of it? (oops)
Give me well-integrated mechanics, narrative and design any day over 'fresh gameplay' gimmicks.
Also, yet another favorite of the internets - game is unveiled for the first time, but noooo let's judge everything based on that 1 minute clip. Also, no gameplay walkthrough for the first unveil? Meh.
The facial animations seem on another level at least, that's nice cause i was desapointed by those in early next gen games, Infamous and Ryze included.
Game looksincredible and i have no problem with the game being simple in its genre, now.. i would have hoped for some footage that showed how it can be dynamic and punchy in its gameplay.. Boring enemies, weapons and no destruction there.

TLOU had "zombies" but it was more of a stealth game than the action-bang-bang kind that Resident Evil 4 was and The Order seems to be like.
It's perfectly understandable, the first minute of actual gameplay shown in Ryse had 11 QTE prompts, the first minute of The Order had 1 + 1 = 11 QTE prompts.
i'll look forward to comparing this game side by side with ryse during the minataur boss fight and see because as its stands that encounter in ryse is the best thing i've ever seen in gaming so far.

What's wrong with QTE's? Obviously nothing, otherwise they wouldn't be so prevalent.

Then use Assassin's Creed 3 as an example. The first time they showed that was 100% in the game, all of it.

The interesting thing about that is you have a selection between the knife and the guys face. Which we can guess would be a non-lethal takedown if selected. Instead they showed off the knife for more ooh ahh factor.
Though the fact the choice is present makes me wonder if there will be an actual purpose for non-lethal vs lethal with story or mechanics.
It will be a QTE shitfest like Ryse if the game is only QTE combat, but seeing as there is atleast that 10 seconds of shooting in the 3 minute video, it definately isn't like ryse.
Wow. And yes it was one QTE (which I don't generally have some irrational hatred toward in the first place) in a two minute clip, how that turned into a fest is beyond me. Also I'm not against "cinematic" TPS, two of my favorite games last gen were in that realm, seeing the genre continue with more power under the hood helping to increase the level of presentation, isn't something l can personally rally against.
Haven't played the new one yet, is there not the same kind of insane platforming as found in the PS1 games?

Kudos Ready At Dawn, keep doing your thing and ignore the haters on certain aspects (black bars, QTE's, etc). Do what you feel is neccessary to produce your vision.
