The first gunfight in Chapter 3 was extremely enjoyable for me...
After that gunfight I was like "goddammit this game needs a horde mode so bad". I find the gunplay very satisfying.

I'm absolutely trading it in and that's something I never do. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying it, but it's not something I ever see myself going back to just to reexperience some things as nothing so far has stood out. I'll probably finish it up tonight and trade it in the morning. So those finishing the game, are you keeping it? Going to pick up my copy after work today.
I'm already sold on the game but that looked like a lot of fun. Hard difficulty?
I find the music abit low until I wore headphones.
Game changer for me.
Spray some compressed air in it, if you got it, and just let it chill for a while, yeah.
Yup, a horde Mode would be fine. But the game would also need a few more enemy typesAfter that gunfight I was like "goddammit this game needs a horde mode so bad". I find the gunplay very satisfying.
It seems really noticeable how short this game is. It seems almost everyone who got that today is already finishing it and giving their overall impressions.
Man the Ai impressions are really inconsistent here.
I'm playing the game on hard and I enjoy what i have played so far. I don't know how anyone could give this game 4/10...
Complaints about the general gunplay in reviews just further confirms my theory that game reviewers are sick of shooting in games, in general.
Cuz this shit is hot, reviewers have no idea what good gunplay means.
Kinda funny. Most of gaf Seems to like it. Looking at Meta and seeing the 5.2 User Rating is really strange.I'm playing the game on hard and I enjoy what i have played so far. I don't know how anyone could give this game 4/10...

The AI seems pretty good, as well. I've been surprise flanked far more times than I expected to be.I trust your opinion on a lot of titles so I'm following your impressions closely. Good to hear about the gunplay being tight.
Heh that's not strange at all happen with very big release for every platform.Kinda funny. Most of gaf Seems to like it. Looking at Meta and seeing the 5.2 User Rating is really strange.
I don't think RAD lied, I agree they were very straightforward from the start about this being a blend of "filmic" elements and game.
There are some interesting points that I would like answered though, like how they mentioned the physics being an integral part of the game and that we would find out why, yet it seems that part was by and large forgotten or abandoned.

Edit: Wonder if release day would be a good time to announce some sort of DLC or plans to have people keep the game.
Yea it's a little bewildering to me. Gunplay/combat and character movement all feel smooth as hell to me...Complaints about the general gunplay in reviews just further confirms my theory that game reviewers are sick of shooting in games, in general.

Was it out in the cold? I don't think CD/DVD/Blu-Ray disc like it below 10 degrees fahrenheit.

It seems that way but it's really not that much shorter than similar games. As I mentioned in another thread, my Uncharted 3 playthrough was only 7 hours 3 minutes the first time around.
I have no real interest in MP but that will definitely hurt for some.
I can't really comb through the thread at the moment but payday just hit and I'm deciding if I should abandon my better judgement and bite on this.
A few months back I told myself I would read the review scores but a lot of the fan opinion and critic opinion differ really heavily so should I just pick it up?
I don't mind a shorter length (as a film student actively studying and writing a script, shorter, conducive experiences are pretty welcome.)
TL;DR- Should I buy it?
All I would really ask for with this is solid visuals, a solid story, solid performance, and a fun steampunk action romp with fun shooting mechanics.
I'm hoping for a "The Order has sold through 3 million copies" announcement next week. That will be a fun thread. Is it likely?
Pick for me GAF.
I'm lost here.
The main problem is that, if everything related about the game lenght is right, there are too many cut-scenes, something that is not a reality with Uncharted games. Also, I love Uncharted games but finished all of them at least 2 times, but that's because they still have some replay value, I did one normal run and at least one another run to get the treasures and finishing it at crushing mode, what again, is not the case with The Order.
So, not really a problem if the game is 7~10 hours long and single player only, the problem is how was that executed and if you're probably gonna never touch it again after finishing it once. That is what makes it hard to justify the full price. Imo of course.

Sorry to say, but this kind of artifact noise is generally related to GPU failure. Hopefully not that serious, but I would contact Sony to see what they say.I have no idea why its doing it. I can't play it like this
User ratings are terrible, most people who rated it probably haven't played it.
They are almost always a mix of 1s and 10s.

Same with Amazon reviews that's just how it is sadly.I would imagine very few of those users have actually played it. edit: beaten
Hahaha . There is a dialogue that offended me more.
