Instead of spouting off with the usual drivel about game modes and whatnot, we thought we'd put some substantive information into this update. There's a free multiplayer demo coming out on the Xbox 360 Live Marketplace on March 3. In it, players will be able to engage in frantic online battles with up to eight players.

also, the faceplate:

I'd prefer a single player demo, but this will be enough to give it a try.

Shame about the faceplate though, utterly useless for vertical 360 owners much like the CoD2 one.

I got mine today...I should put it up as a prize or something.

I'll make a pact with the forces of the netherworld, will myself into having a vagina, and bear your children if you send that to me. I have deep blue eyes. The child will be gorgeous, and have dark powers.

j/k...OR AM I?!?!?!

I'm at the last level from the campaign, It's a pretty decent game. If you liked Commandos and Mercenaries, it has that kind of feel, to compare it with. Also it borrows some tactical elements from an RTS, which should make it very interesting in multiplayer. I don't think the shooting is as much fun as Mercenaries, most weapons are tediously slow to fire and some of the destruction on demand is very useless since he game is generally too easy and gives you plenty of the points to spend to buy the best available (which maybe is the point, but it could be more challenging if it was harder in that respect). The concept is nice though and it let's you build cool defenses at area's you need to protect etc. though I miss like the metal parts and stone walls to make like defenses to slow enemies. The destruction of the enviroments is also done pretty well but doesn't play a huge part in gameplay. It's mostly for finding some secrets, or getting special medals which unlock achievements. It doesn't really serve much of a direct gameplay purpose that I noticed.

The single-player campaign is alright, I have to be honost to say I'm not blown away by any means, It's like multiplayer Battlefield in a single-player story against AI's and scripted situations. Some nice battles and inventive moments. I still think the graphics are mediocre at best, although the technical fundaments for an impressive looking game might be there. I just don't like the look of the game very much, it doesn't change throughout the entire campaign, same green pastures and trees and houses and silly unrealistic semi-hills with invisible walls. Very lineair, they should've made it open world I think. Plus the characters are the A-Team on steriods and with generic rage as I said before. This could be a plus or minus... :D

But the gameplay is decent, I would like to play this cooperatively over Live, should be fun. I could see the Relic team releasing new single-player levels for this game that would be usable in cooperative play and multiplayer as well, seems it should be possible. It's too bad I can't play the multiplayermodes on the debug partnernet since noone is generally looking for games to play there when i'm looking...If anyone has this code we could play, PM me!

I thought I was at the last level before, but I wasn't. The game is (single-player) actually picking up the pace from the 7th or so mission, it's quite enjoyable, you get to be in much harder supply of field units to spent and much more enemies and situations where you have to build solid defenses.

There was a funny area were german paratroopers kept dropping and I built a few AA guns around that spot to mow them down each time they were still in the sky landing. Which racked up inmense amounts of field units in return, since they kept coming. I thought that was cool.

I"m enjoying this single-player more then before anyways with these more complicated levels in these later levels.
