I'm pretty sure they can't include the Activision games or any non-Atari game actually.

I guess I assumed Atari system and not Atari company. Whoops!
It would be nice to get all of those companies collaborating on a 2600 Anthology.

Combat is included, which is based on Tank but with many more options, and biplane/jet fighter variations in addition to tanks.

Activision.

This was originally an arcade game from Stern. I'm not sure if the current Stern Pinball owns rights to the old Stern properties, or if another entity does. Anyway, it's not happening on this collection.

-Keystone Kapers

Activision again.

-Breakout

Yep, it's on there.

This one too. You should see a simulation of the original arcade game, as well as the 2600 game Video Olympics, which has Pong along with many other variations.

-Mario Bros.

Nintendo. That's definitely not happening on the PlayStation 2 or X-Box, although I suppose if Atari were to produce a GameCube version, they could somehow strike a deal to include that in there as an added bonus. :)

-Grand Prix

Activision yet again. Go buy Activision Anthology if you want to play the Activision games you mentioned in this thread. It doesn't even matter which version--they're all good. :)

That would be Warlords. :D

Warlods! yes!
And I DO have combat. The plane on is brilliant!

Is there an Activision Anthology? They have the best games on the 2600 it seems.

It's on the yahoo front page.

I wonder why they make such a big deal when compilations like Midway's, Namco's, and Activision's have already happened.

Sure this is Atari (a legendary NAME, not necessarily the same company or people), but re-releasing stuff isn't exactly new news, what about the collection on Dreamcast. Plus, they've already done stories about "retro" gaming, like the Atari/Pac-Man/etc... stand-alone joystick-console combos. Also, they mentioned the Nintendo NES-Classic line in a story back in June.

Anyway, not putting it on GCN seems silly. Other collections have done well on GCN.
