The dudes I grew up with just released a new EP and it's decent. I think they're trying too hard to make their songs more radio friendly and not branching out and excercising their musical creativity like they used to. To their credit, though, they are MUCH more polished than they once were.

I noticed. The beginning of "Change" is freaking awesome, but then it sounds like every other radio friendly mainstream rock song as soon as he starts singing. Get them to change their ways, oli.

They ARE creative, but this new CD doesn't show it at ALL. I'll see if I can upload some good old tracks to show you guys the VAST difference.
I want their old music style with their new polish.

And the art is done by the lead singer's little sister, Lori. She's quite talented.

Not as polished, but better songs. I wish I had some of their other 'concert only' songs to send. Those are strokes of brilliance they need on CD.
