The Player 1 Podcast Topic

I think the best thing Tim Allen has ever done is look pissed off after Ricky Gervais skewered him at the Golden Globes.

I love how uncomfortable Mike sounds when the sonic convo happens.

There's something about ppl over 30 talking about sonic, that is either really funny or just really weird/uncomfortable/weird. There's no inbetween.

I have yet to past judgement on this one.

I think it had more to do with Sonic's glistening pecs

Poor Tim Allen.

Oh, Tim Allen. Gotcha. Yeah, he was good in those--I'll totally grant you that.

:)

Shame you won't get Diablo 3. I don't plan on getting Torchlight 2 until it's dirt cheap. Torchlight 1 didn't grab me. I should finish it tho but the powers were kinda boring so I stopped after a while.

Torchlight 2 is already dirt cheap: $15 if you get it in a 4-pack. The beta was wonderful. I played through it twice.

HOWEVER...

I started playing Diablo 3 last night (someone gifted it to me because they were tired of me ignorantly talking shit about it*). It's pretty great--except that in the 90 minutes I played (alone), I had 4 or 5 rather nasty patches of lag that totally infuriated me. And even though Diablo seems to be the more polished of the two games (based on the beta, mind you), there are loads of systems and gameplay mechanics that I prefer by a wide margin in TL2. And I also prefer its art style by a country mile.

* I will never stop ignorantly talking shit about things.

Need to revise part of the podcast:

Steam, Amazon and being a podcast host with generous listeners has taught me PC games aren't worth $60...

LOL, touché. In my defense, I told this person, specifically, and in no uncertain terms, not to buy it for me. And there's still no way I'd pay $60 for D3 when TL2 is $15. It is not 4x the game (if doing such math were even remotely logical).

The download isn't working on the RSS feed for me. I tried yesterday and it didn't work so I thought I'd leave it for today. It's not working right now either.

To CJ, Phil, Sewart or Mik,

Google believes that that your playeronepodcast internet interactive forums is a skanky, disease-ridden cesspool of malevolent, computer crippling attack malware that will cause my computer to die a sudden death and deprive me of access to my considerable (and equally skanky) porn collection.

Please tell me this isn't true. If I'm forced to choose between my porn collection or visiting your interactive internet webforums you will not fare well. This is not Sophie's Choice by a long stretch.

Love you lots,

I noticed recently that links from Google to the POP forums would sometimes redirect to a crazy malware site. I'd been thinking it was a virus on my end (it seemed as though no one else was having this issue), but now that Google's deemed the site unsafe, I can send all my fears to New Zealand! *phew!*

Edit: I've found a topic on another board discussing an epidemic forum hack. I don't know if it's the same hack plaguing the POP forums, but the symptoms seem to check. Good luck, in any event.

As far as I know the issue has been solved. But I don't know if any of us can get that attack site warning to disappear.

Last weeks episode on the RSS feed is still broken in my pod catcher thing.
Is there any intent on getting that fixed? If not, I'll give up and download it from the link archnemesis posted earlier (thank you by the way).

They shit all over steel battalion and for me it controlled really well, also there is optics in the mech and the boncular bit seems only to be used on the off chance you cant see the enemy with your in mech optics.

God I hate the 80's.

There's nothing better than good old 80's cheese.

I seem to keep missing the live recording and forgetting to tweet.

Well i remember to tweet, but just procrastinate too much and don't do it.

Tweeting is hard work... wonder how you guys do it.

Did CJ really go back to New Zealand, or is it one of the Player One Podcast 'jokes'?

Like Dormerbot, or ending the podcast at episode 250.

Not sure what you mean. I've read the books, watched the movies, played the games. Do you mean "I wish Mike liked Lord of the Rings?" If so, me too.

oh, they made it sound like you didn't know anything about it. nm...

btw, add me to your D3 friendlist. Already msged you my tag on Steam and Twitter.

Our lovemaking once ended with her asking me, "will you go put 'tile cleaner' on the grocery list?" It gets no colder than that, my man.

Gross dude, your kids probably eat off of that floor.

Also, you were talking about PC pricing being $3-60. I think some of Gary Grigsby's games actually start at like $80 when first released. I think that's the model JRPG's should take. There is a tiny niche of people who still love them and play them all who would be willing to pay $80-100 for each Atlus title. It works for hardcore PC war games.

I personally think video games sold digitally should have demand based pricing.
