We must be getting a SOP soon. I love the style of the controllers, but I've seen nothing of the headset yet, so that reveal will be interesting, as will a reveal of the games that'll release in the launch window.

Eye tracking cameras follow your line of sight when aiming or looking around, while advanced foveated rendering techniques improve the visual experience by adjusting resolutions to pinpoint and enhance whatever you're focusing on.
quoting as some typicaly doubting foveated rendering with eye tracking is a thing

Too bad this is most likely a few months away from being shown....
Cant wait for the full unveiling! I still havent jumped into VR yet and knowing this is on the horizon I must hold strong!

And for those who were still trying to spread FUD, here is the official confirmation that Eye Tracking will be used in conjunction with Foveated Rendering / Variable Rate Shading:

More clarification is never a bad thing but it was pretty clear from the start that was where the eye-tracking in an HMD is being used for.

The next thing they need to confirm is BC for previous VR games. I'm about 90% certain there will be some BC for old PSVR games.

Aint shit till we see some games. All they list is an "experience" so that doesn't sound very promising although it probably has some nice eye candy.
