I remember the day Krispy Kreme opened up their Buffalo location (they just recently got them on LI and they're not very common round here), the lines were like 3 hours long just to get some donuts! This shortened to an hour in forthcoming weeks, until it levelled off back to normalcy. Never saw the big deal, every time I tried eating one, I could feel my arteries literally clog up There were some better places around the Buffalo area, like a small locally owned one in University Heights that I remember liking. I think good ol' fashioned Dunkin Donuts best, though. They just opened a 24 hour one right down the road from me =D

Dunkin Donuts used to my favorite. But then the one near me moved further away, and a Hess gas station close to me started selling Krispy Kremes. My God, I love how they destroy my body. But like FnordChan said, they are best when they're fresh, and they're not that fresh at the gas station, only in the morning.

I stopped eating donuts around a couple years ago when I began eating healthily (in fact I can't remember having even one since then), but my favorite was always the Dunkin Donuts toasted coconut donut. Mmmmm.....godly.

And I'll agree that Krispy Kreme is highly overrated. There was just something about it I never liked.

Maple Frosted anything is completely badass. I've had donuts from a variety of places, and I've never met a maple frosted that wasn't super tasty.
