I'm really excited for this game! The demo is fun. It's by the same devs who made the awesome X-Morph Defense (which is a mix of twin stick shooter + tower defense).

Also this game has supports RTX for ray-traced shadows which look pretty nice.

Graphics and aesthetics are great, however is there any indication of release date? Feel like this one has been in the ether for a minute.

The Riftbreaker is coming to Xbox Game Pass day one on Series X|S, Windows 10 PCs, and cloud. Watch this developer walkthrough video to learn about the game and its Xbox Series X|S enhancements.

The Riftbreaker is a sci-fi base-building survival game with RPG elements. It will be available Day One on Xbox Game Pass this Fall, and also PS4/PS5 and PC. As Captain Ashley S. Nowak, "the Riftbreaker," you enter a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a distant planet at the far reaches of the Milky Way. Your purpose is to build and develop a base that will allow travel to and from Earth for further colonization. Ashley's Mecha-Suit, which she calls "Mr. Riggs," can withstand the harshest environmental conditions and has a full range of equipment for base construction, resource extraction, specimen gathering, and of course – combat. It is also capable of traveling through rifts that connect space across vast distances.

Played the demo and was hoping for my next They Are Billions, / Tower Defence fix but this didnt click for me. Couple of things Id hope they change:
- some sound samples are really bad (like alien dying
- allow me to zoom out
- allow me to look anywhere on the map without the player being there
- make base building feel satisfying. Especially turrets look and feel lame.
- Focus less on skills/development/guns of the player, and more on base development. Currently its pretty much a top down shooter and the base defence pale in comparison, there is no tower defense element.
