The first batch of models had a problem with static (metal casing intereing with the headphone pole)- I think they fixed that in later batches. The other thing is get some electrical tape to fix it up.

I'd recommend the Creative Zen Micro over that. Get more features and it's the same price or cheaper on the Internet. Also, incredibly small. 5GB capacity and such.

You could wait a bit there's a new Mirco 'Photo' (read micro with a colour lcd screen) Creative might drop the prices of the first one.

As did I actually, all they had was the ugly 30 gig silver mp3 player.

I hope you're right though... which Creative stuff did they have there

All they had were the Zen Xtras, but I assume they carry more. My local store doesn't even have iPods. I haven't been to the bigger local one. If they carry Zen Xtras, it's safe to assume the bigger stores probably carry at least the Zen Touch.

EDIT: P.S. That "ugly" 30 GB silver player is quite a good deal. Replaceable battery, better sound quality, 14 hours of battery life, and more. Don't knock it!

Im starting to think they only carry the Xtra's Ive been looking dude! I hate best buy sometimes
