Ack, it's hard to believe the latest The Simpsons season iz already over. We got like what, 10 episodes? That's just pathetic...

HAHA, most people around here want 0 episode seasons :p.

But the season isn't over, it's just with the holidays and mid season shows they go a few weeks without showing it.

For a second, i thought you meant the coming season was their last. :(

Edit: The :( is for the fact that it's not their last season.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
It's sad that the show couldn't go out gracefully - it is the source of some of TV's absolute greatest moments, but it's been beating a dead horse for a few seasons now. Also a shame that FOX didn't give Futurama the opportunity it deserved.

I already have far to many seasons to buy for the Simpsons. They need to stop giving me more to buy :(

WTF this season's already over? I thought season finale's came in May (Unless the show got cancelled of course)

I think I've watched 3 from this season. None were memorable.

Ghost

Chili Con Carnage!
We havent even had the 'Selmas a lesbian' episode yet....

Im looking forward to Ricky Gervais' episode (the one he's writing) though i guess that's probably next season.

I'm still a fan.

Put the Simpsons besides fare like Arrested Development and sure, it'll look weak. But compare it to shows like "Father of the Pride" and I'd go with the Simpsons any day.

That still doesn't explain why you'd watch the show. :p

I'll take eating cardboard over nuclear waste any day, but that doesn't mean...(etc.)

It makes me laugh, it entertains me.
Did that really need to be explained?

Lighten up, guys.
Hey, I was just poking fun at the explanation (as human also demonstrated), not the fact that you watch the show.

Sorry about that, took it the wrong way.
Just around here, it sounds like former fans of the show would rather hump a cactus than watch newer episodes, which confuses me.

(Not that they no longer watch the show, but how much they complain)

the older episodes were so much more fun, and clever.

the newer ones just seem sub-par to the extreme...

You have to understand that for many of us The Simpsons was easily THE best/funniest show on TV for a number of years. We kinda grew up with it. And now, at least imo, it's just painful to watch.

The Simpsons now is like watching MJ in a Wizards uniform... only much much worse and more embarrassing. God, I got season 5 for Christmas, and THAT show was one of the most intelligent, witty and downright funny shows of all time. The shows now (and for the last several years) are just bastardizations of the Simpson's once greatness.

When it's al said and done, the Simpsons will be looked upon favorably by most people, but not because of the last five years.

One of the things I noticed about the last few seasons was that pretty much every episode had the same formula. There would be five minutes of something that would lead into the episode's whole plot, one of the characters would do something uncharacteristic (and the plot would often revolve around that), and by the end of the show you've nearly forgotten about the first five minutes since it had nothing to do with the rest of the story.
