Well 'singles' are meant for promotion and stuff. I'm speaking of when the album hasn't been released yet (which was the case with the Beck album).. it's okay to share the single, because that's it's purpose. Maybe I shouldn't have said "illegal," but yeah.. this thread is 'safe' in terms of the TOS. Plus, a lot of the time the artist allows you to d/l the single from their site...

If you can link to an official Daft Punk site which is offering the song for free download, or authorizes free trading of the single, then I'll let you post that link.

Until then, though, I don't want to see any more yousendit.com links. We can't allow direct links to copyright-infringing material on this site. As much as I agree with you that artists OUGHT to encourage some file trading as a way of increasing sales, there are legal issues to consider until the copyright laws get changed.

Unfortunately...yeah.

Again, lack of commercial availability OUGHT to mean that something can be freely shared (see: abandonware games, obscure out-of-print music, etc.), but the current laws are a problem.
