"Federal Judge Gerard Lynch last month ordered the magazine to pay Mathers (aka Eminem) $131,388 to cover legal fees incurred in connection with a copyright lawsuit filed last December by the music superstar."

#2. Is it standard practice? They sued for $175,000 for legal fees AND damages... they got 131,388 for legal fees and damages.

Well, clearly the finer details were fixed up by the judge, but it's standard practice for the winner of a lawsuit to have the loser pay the legal fees. The only question is how much those costs were.
