You forgot Animal Collective :(

all the albums i listed are better than any of the albums those people made imho

who, floyd and queen are just downright bad though

Meddle by Pink Floyd is good though.

I've only heard of 15 of these bands/groups/whatever. And have listened to less than 10. Don't like any.

Piper at the Gates of Dawn is very influential to some of the krautrock stuff you have listed and you should be sort of ashamed at that assertion tbqh.

not to mention better than Frances the fuckin mute.

it's a pretty good list over all though. glad it's different than the rote safe choices outside of Loveless. I'll do my unranked list, i actually have it written somewhere.

Tbh I really like some Pink Floyd, particularly Dark Side and Animals. They were the first band I really ever got into back in high school.

That said, I live with a roommate who is obsessed with dadrock. He blasts shit like the Who and Phish and it just makes me want to commit dishonorable sudoku

Pet Sounds is the best.

it really might be!

i know a lot of people probably listen to Frances the Mute and just hear wankery and noodling, but to me it is just so mammoth and twisted and dark and toxic and frothing like a demonic r-rated disney villain and i absolutely love that.

the other mars volta albums are cool but that's about it

ok computer... i can't even really describe what that album does to me. it's entirely enveloping and uplifting and crushing and is on an entirely different plain of music for me to the point that i can't even really analyze it anymore.

What the fuck where is Rush?
No Rush?
No 2112?
No Hemispheres?
No Moving Pictures?

I mean I guess if you're not into that but it depends if you were making like a top most important or top favorite albums

honestly, i feel like i'm cheating when i put it on a list. it and Kid A have probably meant more to me than any other records I own (cliche, i know) because they are what got me into indie/alt music in the first place.

I don't think I've even listened to 100 full albums in my entire life.

I've only heard 3 of the albums in the OP all the way through.
