Debug units with a green front have an optical drive, debug units with a red front have a hard drive instead. HDD units can store a set number of disk images at a time, the row of red LEDs at the front shows which image is currently active.

He's posted about GTA in the past, too.. Is he feigning uncertainty and posing his hints as a question? He lives in Southern California... where are the Rockstars various studios located?

Also.. it looks like the home button has a light around it to be used for notifications. Was that always there?

Personally, it's not surprising.
I've been expecting it, and of course Nintendo is pushing for it.

Today, 2 of my concerns about Wii U were destroyed with Randy Pitchfords comments and these analogue sticks. This has been a good day.

Just confirm GTA V on Wii U & more than 1 UPad and I think I'll go through the roof.

I'd guess it means he's seen that green and white thingy while you're grasping at straws with the GTA connection. (not to say it is or isn't coming, just that it doesn't seem to be more than a coincidence with the original context of Wii U branding)
 
I'm not sold on Jumpman knowing anything about GTA for Wii U, but his location is Southern California. Rockstar San Diego, responsible for Read Dead and the RAGE engine that powers GTA IV, is is in Carlsbad, CA.

Grasping at straws here to a certain extent...

bgassassin might be able to help here, he gave a wink to Jumpman a few pages back. bg, do you have any insight on his position in the industry, or am I reading way to far into this?

I think, regardless of what he knows, GTA5 will happen for the Wii U.
It wouldn't be the first time we've heard it was coming, and let's face it, Nintendo knows they need it.

We had a few slow days, but we should be able to finish this one up sometime next week.
 
Even GameCube and GBA dev kits are still under NDA. Nintendo considers the design of those things trade secrets, and are very protective about images getting out. This guy truly was a moron, and should feel lucky that Nintendo isn't really the type of company to sue individuals.

And you can be sure that, if he was a true TT employee and not just a temp from an external testing company, TT is in big trouble; after a leak like that Nintendo definitely wouldn't trust them with early info in the future, no matter how minor, or how important the info is to TT's work.

I agree.. I'm just curious about his credentials so I can keep an eye on his future posts. He doesn't post much, though.
