The Witcher 2 getting full combat rebalance mod with new animations and big changes

Damn, I had no idea. The download links aren't working for me though. Help please?

It seems quite improved to me, but I haven't played the game in a long time so I missed some of their patches.

The new strafing is not quite what I expected, and I'm not sure if it would work better on KB which has a hard walk toggle. You have to be quite near a target and walking to strafe, which is pressure sensitive obviously on the pad. Feels a bit finicky at first go.

I don't really understand how the new riposte works with the auto-parry.

Yeah, I also seem to be having trouble with Riposte. Has anyone got it to work?

EDIT: Well, there's a thread on /v/ right now discussing this mod. A few others are also not having any luck with Riposte, at least during the tutorial. Apparently it can't be completed.

looks like it added some sort of effect to potions, theres green stuff on the side and you're blurring in and out like you're drunk

not a fan of it at all

edit: im clearly poisoned, maybe the poison barrier was lowered since I just loaded a save. Effect goes away if you use 2 potions or less

I played TW2 on 1.00, retail version. What do I have to install in what order to get this mod to install properly? Is there some kind of all-encompasing patch DL?

Should've bought it on Steam during a sale :/

Okay, so I'm not just being stupid then. I quit since I don't really have time to play much right now; do you know if riposte works in the main game or is it broken entirely?

I'm not sure if the mod even installed correctly but the controls are still fucking abysmal. I want to like this game, I truly do, but I just can't put up with the fucking terrible unresponsive controls.

Tried some rounds in Arena.
It seems more responsive and fast, but also with less 'grip' than the already horribly spoiled 2.0 (what that blocking should represent, seriously?).
Respect for the passion and efforts put in it, but it's definitely not my cup of tea.

I tried doing the tutorial and couldn't get past the riptole counter stuff. I was hoping there a more user friendly way of knowing what button does what now
