The graphics here look like 3-4 gens in the future. If we can replay old games with these "filters" that we can toggle and change as we please, that would be amazing and really give life to old games.

You're talking about Frame blending/Motion interpolation which has been a feature in editing software for the past 20-25 years. AI, sure. But merely from a signal-processing level and not a creative one.

I hope this wasn't meant to be a gotcha moment in the ''You've been watching AI all along'' sense?

The point is, they are new images generated by AI. If you are against GenAI, thats fine, but one should be specific about what you're against. A lot of tools in history have had an effect on the creative process, many of them have had accussations of eroding creativity.
