With the way robotics are advancing those jobs are likely not safe either.Developers may want to start thinking about learning a trade - welding, HVAC, plumbing, etc... Maybe even coal mining.
The only AI slop "makeover" I've liked is this stylized GTA
I'd love to see a game that looks like this (obviously without all the weird AI artifacting, smearing, inconsistencies and image breakup)
Looks a hell of a lot better than the actual game.
I'm looking forward to the time when AI is doing all of the creative and heavy lifting for game development.
Imagine telling AI what sort of game you want to play and having it craft that game for you?

Already a game that looks like that. Some anime type game thatknocks offtakes inspiration from multiple games. Ananta I think it was?

The most overused word on this forumSlop slop slop
"Slop" is everywhere and everything now-a-days
Was Kojima right: Are memes really the DNA of the soul?
To each their own. I'd rather have less human-made stuff than a lot of machine-made stuff.Give me the whole trough.
Can't wait for the bubble to burst so people can stop posting AI slop shit
Zero chance it would be free, but I'd be willing to pay for it.In any case, I doubt we'll reach a point of "ask the machine and it'll give you a game". Not because of that not being possible (it'll be possible for sure) but rather because I don't see companies lending that tech to the consumer for free and losing tons of millions in the process.
I'd like it to burst so that companies stop trying to shoehorn AI into places where it doesn't belong, much like what happened right before the .com bubble burst, when there seemed to be a website or internet technology for everything. Can't wait for the bubble to burst so people can stop posting AI slop shit

I'm fucking sick of it

A bit of both actuallyYou're sick of the term or the AI?
Honestly, the industry suffers severely from a lack of innovation, vision, and talent. AI At least, can help fill some of these gaps.Looks a hell of a lot better than the actual game.

That's because it's impressive. The biggest mindblow for me is that some people are geniunely impressed by this.
But infinitely worse and with no ability to easily edit the stuff that's been generated.AI can do it in a fraction of the time. Minutes/hours instead of days/weeks, or more.
Plus, it's highly unsustainable in the long run unless we get major breakthroughs in e-waste managementSo people have to pay $450 for a little bit of RAM just so others can generate this nonsense.
Meanwhile, energy is being wasted on a national scale.
Hopefully, this nonsense will collapse soon.

Imagine how long it takes a human being to create a cutscene in a game? AI can do it in a fraction of the time. Minutes/hours instead of days/weeks, or more.
Look on the bright side...a lot of that water is "recaptured" so it's just as dirty as folks think the resulting content is.How much water did this nonsense waste?
But it looks fucking terrible and has zero artistry
I think it looks just as good or better than most of the human-produced slop coming out of large developers these days. But infinitely worse and with no ability to easily edit the stuff that's been generated.
The video in question is not impressive from both a technical standpoint as it's an incredibly shallow slice of a barely playable video (with tons of mistakes) or a creative one as the colors and graphics are completely different in every shot.
Your opinion is fine but I think we should have much higher standards.
