Hahahahaha actually laughed out loud. How censored is Witcher 3 in UAE? I used to live there and the only way I would buy games is from those stores, because I would definitely be pissed if I found bits missing. I assuming just the sex scenes?
Frontal nudity is covered up with clothes and gore is toned down.

To be clear, the Witcher 3 unlock exe on PC requires no verification of anything. It's just an exe that won't go live until launch. If you're one of the ten people in this country that has a bitchin' gaming rig that can run Witcher 3 but no working Internet, you can take a thumb drive to your local library and download it there, and install it when you get back home.
If there was a possibility that physical PS4/XB1 games could be freely uploaded to torrent sites and easily installed onto millions of consoles with no alterations. I would say that its a good idea.
I would give only link, some of those track names...

Nope, also toned down the violence, because you know we're sensitive to all that gore here, it's not like every day that goes by we're bombarded with dead babies and mutilated cadavers on Al Jazeera.
What really pisses me off tho, is that I'm in Lebanon and yet we have to be subjected to the same censorship in the UAE and the rest of the gulf...
It isn't an ideal situation but not unreasonable. One should also note that physical PC copies are probably a minority. And a minority of a minority will be those that have no way of getting a small file for download, this isn't GB worth of data.

Yes, one can roam around there after dark, with no care in the world, and there are 100 % chances you'll come home safe and sound. Place is PRETTY safe. I visited a few times, and it was weird seeing people operate ATM's without any real security at 3 AM. Things are way too different here in Pakistan.

Some of the best songs from TW2 were not even present on the soundtrack (Blue Mountains is my all time favourite), they released them later.

Definitely a big deal considering Witcher 2 had a lot of sex scenes as well (although they are a bit tame).

I remember I was trying to get Wolfenstein in Dubai Mall last year but I couldn't find it, is it banned in UAE ? I had no trouble looking for games like Lollipop Chainsaw and The Last of Us though.

Go to game Street, fantastic games or joystick trading. Don't go to geekay or any of the chain retailers. I have wolfenstein on XB1 Btw and I got it from here.

Still the same, almost everyone pirates except for the few that bother with Steam cards or are privileged enough to buy legit console games, Steam cards are a rarity, I only know one or two shops that sell them and they only took off because of DOTA, most internet cafes are either DOTA or Counter Strike. Last gen everyone went with the 360 because it was hacked so fast and so easy, PS3 was unhackable for a long time so only well off people bothered with it.
I'm paying full price for a trimmed down product, other than the fact that I'm being told how I can play my own game which I paid for.

A little OT, but I bought the game a while ago, for 30 something euros on GoG. I see the expansion is priced 24.99€ there but the complete series is 34.98€. What the fuck is going on? Pay 10€euros more than the expansion and you get Witcher 1/2/3 on top of that?

Its an issue you gotta take up with your government. CDPR's option is to either censor it or don't release it at all.
Yes I know. Additionally CDPRed will not use any installation check for post-launch physical copies of the game. Only launch discs require such verification.

Spoken as a person who hasn't dealt with censored movies and etc. in the Middle East. There will be dumb shit censored out for no other reason, as well. As a guy who has dealt with that for too long I won't be touching the censored version.
You mean "BUY SERIES COMPLETE IT" section on TW3's store page? It's just all released Witcher games and price you need to pay to get ones that you are missing. For me it's 10 as I'm only missing that Adventure Game.
Because releasing them early on PC would be unfair to other people? And that opens the gates for platform owners to offer money to 'release on our console a couple days early.'
My point is,I'd rather get the slightly censored game than get nothing at all.Witcher 3 has much more to offer than the sex.
On balance,I doubt the censorship could affect the actual meat of the game to any truly significant degree.

You can still get the game from those non chain retailers, and I'm pretty sure thats where a large majority of games are bought. Because they are usually cheaper by 25%+ and you get uncensored EU versions.
In Abu Dhabi there was a store I would go to buy most my games, "Hamed Centre". They sold GTA there. Not sure what to call them? Unlicensed black market stores?

The bonus soundtrack (4 tracks) is already up for download on GOG. Pretty much everything except the game is.

This makes me wonder why they don't just lock the physical game until the release date. Who cares when you buy it if you can't play it anyway. I'm not saying I'm for that...It just makes me wonder.
Edit: I guess that'd basically be the always online crap that everybody hates.

Yeah I will, I just heard that they took off the sexual scenes "missions" from the Middle East version, so I'm not sure if the save game will work on my other US version later.
