Heh I'm pretty sure the story of the games is after the books. I could be wrong though.

The games play after the books, no one but CDPR knows how the trilogy will end.

How old is your PC? The Witcher 2 had low minimum requirements (Core 2 Duo, 512MB GPU of the 8800 era (6 - 7 years old)).

It is. That spoiler is hardly a spoiler since its literally mentioned a billion times in both Witcher games and is basically a fundamental reason of why Geralt is on the receiving side of plot dumps.

Not just character development but the politics are incredible and are obviously connected to the third game. You can skip the first one if you want, I recommend trying it out at least, but Witcher 2 just seems necessary also it runs amazingly well. I have a Q6600 and a HD 5770 which is basically ancient by now. I'm not building a new PC until February!

Holy fuck man... this is definitely the most excited I've been for an RPG since the initial Skyrim reveal. Everything looks perfect...those graphics wow wow wow.

I was pretty intent on getting this on PS4 but now I'm seriously wondering how my GTX 770 will hold up against this monster.

As other said before, no chance at all. Books are set before the games.

Hopefully I have a gaming PC by next year. Won't look like the trailers on the consoles given the free roam aspect.
