The Witcher |LTTP| Catching Up to the Wild Hunt

3 of them are missing translations, but are finally on track to be released. Sword of Destiny is a short story collection coming out this year, which was skipped over in translating before. Chronologically it's between The Last Wish and Blood of Elves. Then Tower of the Swallow comes out next year, and Lady of the Lake the year after that.

As mentioned before, all the missing books were translated by the community in the Witcher forums.

Both paths come together in Act 3. It's 2 sides of the same story more or less. Each side has information about the main plots that the other side doesn't have, so you don't have the absolute full picture without seeing both sides. But the events of both sides still probably happen more or less even if you weren't there.
Thank you sooooo much for posting that. :)

The fan translations are great, you should read Sword of Destiny.

I'd say fan translation if you're aiming to do this before Witcher 3. Or you can wait until Sword of Destiny's official translation is supposed to come out when Wild Hunt does. Either way I wouldn't skip it with Yennifer and Ciri's heavy involvement in the new game. It's probably the best look at his relationship to both of them given how often they're all separated from each other in later books.

I was thinking that's why it would be best to try Sword of Destiny, but I'd really love to have it in EPub format. PDFs aren't the best to read on my phone, and I can't get the converter I've used before to work at all.

So how is Sword of Destiny compared to The Last Wish? I'm really loving The Last Wish right now.

Edit: Nevermind, got my converter to work. Woo!

Is sword of destiny the revision of the last wish? I'm confused now.
Are all of the books in shadows link? And is it in the correct order?

I believe the only books in that link are the missing ones.

I guess the chronological order mostly goes:

*The Last Wish
Season of Storms
#Sword of Destiny
*Blood of Elves
*Time of Contempt
*Baptism of Fire
#The Tower of the Swallow
#Lady of the Lake

* - Official English Translation available
# - Fan Translation available

Season of Storms is the newest one. It's set before one of the short stories (the one about the striga) in The Last Wish, but before most of them.

It's great and it's important because it introduces Ciri and her relationship with Geralt.

Act 2 seems really long. Every time I think I'm done, some more happens. I have to be nearing the end, now. Got through The Eternal Battle and am now on the siege.

Sounds great!

Just finished The Last Wish, and I loved it. That's quite an introduction to Yennefer!
