I think this system panders to the elite upper crust of America. I was in FAO Schwartz looking for PS2 games and this group of 5 prep school boys walk into the Xbox 360 section trying to be all smart talking about how "why Kenworth, this game looks beautiful" (They were looking at Kameo or something). These are the type of guys who wear sweater vests. They moved through efficiently and were courteous to all.
Then I came to thinking about all of my other encounters with Xbox 360 users in gaming stores. Everytime I walk into EBGames there is some rich kid trying to trade his PS2 copy of Madden 2006 with the case and manual for store credit. This person usually then moves on to get a newer version of said title.
The richest and smartest people like Xbox 360 games. Ever try an online game of Perfect Dark Zero with a monocle? Can you speak fluently in 8 languages? All of the massive lexicons being thrown aroud are heaven to my ears.
The Xbox 360 panders to the highest class, has the best graphics and gets the best ports of all of the main systems. Why wouldn't you support a system whose target audience is a bunch of highly educated lads?
