Honestly, there is enough wrong with that piece of shit that 8 hours isn't too unreasonable.Wtf is wrong with people being unhinged and making 4 hour analysis of a single game thats like 8 hours long. Some people really need an editor.
Regarding numbered sequels, yesThe worst game in the series.
It says a lot when the worst game in a series (well, you make it sound like it were a bad gameThe worst game in the series.
4th is my favorite beside 3rd.Damn... In the time it would take to watch that video I could beat the game.
Silent Hill 4 is the only other release in the franchise that is on par with the first installment in my book. Third installment is complete sequel schlock and the second is trying way too hard to channel Lynch with shocking visual metaphors but without making a lick of sense. The fourth has a unique story to tell and it nails the execution with the exception of the infamous water prison puzzle.
You played downpour, homecoming and book of memories? The worst game in the series.
Game is awful. Interesting idea but bad execution. Furthermore it's really too long. The second half of the game we are forced to revisit the all previouses areas; when I realized it, I have to give up and stopped my gameplay session.I bet bloober will remake 1-3 but not this![]()
It's the fourth best Silent Hill game. The worst game in the series.
Nah. Book of memories is the worst. SH4 is 4th bestThe worst game in the series.
The second part of the game is when shit really hits the fan and you are just trying to keep Eileen safe by minimizing travel. The first half of the game is like a stroll in the park compared to the second and the finale is the best climax in Silent Hill franchise.Game is awful. Interesting idea but bad execution. Half of the game is to recomplete recycled areas, no thanks horrible cheap trick. The only idea to go through the same places again destroy my interest to go on. I want new places to explore not the same shit again. The second part of the game is when shit really hits the fan and you are just trying to keep Eileen safe by minimizing travel. The point is you see the reverberating effect Walter Sullivan has had on the areas you were previously in before facing him. Going through the areas is greatly expedited the second time around.Half of the game is complete recycled areas no thanks horrible cheap trick. The only idea to go through the same places again destroyed my interested to end it.
The thing is not funny with all respect an useless repetitiveness. The point is you see the reverberating effect Walter Sullivan has had on the areas you were previously in before facing him.
I hope not. Silent Hill 4 should stay that way... Its charm lies in the details they couldn't fix, leaving it as a video game MEME.I bet bloober will remake 1-3 but not this![]()
But the recycled areas in the previouses Silent Hill wasn't exactly recycled. In the nightmare dimension things are more scaring and the areas are quite changed. In Silent Hill 4 you can see it's just a cheap trick to save the development time. The point is you see the reverberating effect Walter Sullivan has had on the areas you were previously in before facing him. Going through the areas is greatly expedited the second time around.
P.S. Most of the nightmare areas of every Silent Hill are recycled.
By the second time around the protagonist is familiar with the areas and that plays into the narrative and his goal of not letting more people die due to Walter Sullivan. But the execution was a league ahead. In the nightmare dimension the areas are scaring and quite different. In Silent Hill 4 they are barely changed and not even to rexplore.
Silent Hill 1 is more "opened" and revisiting the same area find some logic plus the nightmare dimension adds tension and variety. In Silent Hill 4 everything is more linear and you perceive immediately they just recycled half of the game to put less work to end it. It's quite evident and not funny to experience from my gamer perspective.By the second time around the protagonist is familiar with the areas and that plays into the narrative and his goal of not letting more people die due to Walter Sullivan.
P.S. The first Silent Hill had the protagonist return to the hospital to gain insights as well.
Highly recommend people look up the SH Wiki moderator circumcision controversy that came from this game.
More entertaining than the game itself.
Edit:
The worst game in the series.
One of the best menus I've ever seen if not the best in my life. The worst game in the series.
The team who're working on this game sounds closer to Project Zero team than SH team but still looks fine in my opinion. It sounds like Konami wants to localize the franchise to their home country.Silent Hill F could be the new Silent Hill 4
Damn... In the time it would take to watch that video I could beat the game.
Silent Hill 4 is the only other release in the franchise that is on par with the first installment in my book.
Yes, the wheelchairs doing cute little spin moves, burping nurses, and Sullivan's shitty fan fiction ass were so frightening.Silent Hill the The Room had it flaws but god damn it was legit one of the scariest SH game.
It felt scary in the first 3 levels, then the levels got progressively more boring and the backtracking through each level just destroyed any buildup the game made. In the end they made the game "scary" by adding unkillable or not enough items to kill every enemy types.Silent Hill the The Room had it flaws but god damn it was legit one of the scariest SH game.
You mean those ghost enemies that you need special sword to bind them…..yeah they were pretty annoying. In the end they made the game "scary" by adding unkillable or not enough items to kill every enemy types.
I wanted to laugh at the rooms with the giant head of that one character.Yes, the wheelchairs doing cute little spin moves, burping nurses, and Sullivan's shitty fan fiction ass were so frightening.
I actually thought that was the one good scare in the whole thing do the randomized nature of it. I mean it's a simple jump scare but considering how dire the rest of the game was it basically high art in comparison.I wanted to laugh at the rooms with the giant head of that one character.
If you take into account that in the forest scene Walter Sullivan's is chasing you with a saw and hitting Bumblebees while Eileen shoots them with an Uzi... The scene is just as delirious or more so.Yes, the wheelchairs doing cute little spin moves, burping nurses, and Sullivan's shitty fan fiction ass were so frightening.
The worst game in the series.
No. Having just rewatched Alien (which was mid like SH2) I would find Silent Hill 4 more comparable to Covenant (dark but satisfying) while the original is closer to Prometheus (even better). Downpour would be comparable to Resurrection, Homecoming would be comparable to Romulus, and the threes of each franchise would line up. None of them are on the level of Aliens..
It's like comparing the movie Alien 1, which is an original film, with suspense and terror, with the movie Alien Resurrection, which is more of an unintentional comedy film.
