I have no idea what this is or why so many people are watching this but the site is getting hammered.

Crazy, crazy numbers.

Knew this would be Spanish before I clicked. Whenever some weird channel I've never heard of dominates the Twitch front page, it always seems to be some Spanish guy.

Looks like everyone but you is out of touch and dumb.

Fess up, whats this about? Seem fucking awful to the uninitiated.
Big boxing event featuring streamers, celebs, etc. organized by top Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos. As simple as that.
Nothing personal, just funny seeing Anglos go ""HUHHHHH WHO????°???=" for everything that's huge on every single other place of the world. All the time.

I'm not American.

So its one of those fake boxing events were streamers with no skill windmill each other for 3 2 minute rounds?

Lame.

No more than anyone else, I'd think. It's just that it's spoken by a ton of people (only Mandarin Chinese has more native speakers), so the potential audience is huge.
Around 1.453 billion people speak English, including those who use it as a second language whereas around 595 million people speak Spanish, including those who use it as a second language. According to ChatGPT.

You don't see similar numbers for English streams though

Never liked Ibai but he's huge, that much I know. And I mean, not just in audience but as an organizer. You might know xQc or Ludwig better but they are not at his level in terms of production.

It's not exactly fake and they do get training sessions even without actual boxing skills. I would put it above all the usual lame shit, though I'm not a big fan at all.

Really is that it?. It seems in recent years that every personon Earth seems to speak English, even some just found lost tribe in the jungle seems to speak English.
I thought the number would be way higher.

Yeah fakes the wrong word(not far off though).

Its more rigged than regular boxing though. More on a par with something like WWE.

Not my thing but if people enjoy it and folks make bank then who am I to judge.

The difference being that almost two thirds of English speakers aren't native speakers, meaning English-language streams have to compete for their attention with whatever content is available in any of the other languages they speak.

With Spanish, it's the other way around. Significantly more native than second-language speakers, and it's extremely common for Spanish speakers in both Europe and Latin America to speak no other languages, leaving them no choice but to watch Spanish streams.

HAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

WHAT?

Spanish? Must be some sort of late night paella eating contest or who can take the longest nap in the middle of a work day competition.
