Well, that's just the problem when working with various companies. You don't always know what they're up to, but that doesn't mean it's a direct connection of influencers accepting the money under the premise claimed. Some also have people working on contracts for them, so eh. I'm fine with simply blaming Tenet. CNN and MSNBC ratings have dropped like a rock for years (esp CNN). You'd think they'd change their narrative like a radio station changing format and content. But they still double down on left leaning/anti-Trump content for 10 years.
What they could do is change to be more moderate, or even just go right wing to carve out a portion of Fox viewers for their own. But they dont and stick to their guns. CNN's ratings are so bad sometimes a channel called NewsMax or NewsNation (whatever it's called as I'd never heard of it before as it's a US based channel) gets better ratings sometimes where CNN news viewership actually drops to 4th. And at one time, CNN must had been the numero uno #1 news channel if anyone wanted round the clock news. Even here in Canada when CNN/TBS kinds of channels popped up around 1990 on cable package tiers everyone watched it though it was US skewed. There was no Canadian equivalent so anyone wating to see what's going on in the world or what the sports updates are up to the minute you went to CNN or that CNN 24 hour news channel that rotated content every half hour. I was glued to the TV watching the night vision goggle Desert Storm coverage.

Money is THE side. And money is not everywhere, it lies in the hands of certain people belonging to certain organizations.
In each important topic regarding our western society, there's a "mainstream opinion" that doesn't come from the holy scriptures but from the schemes of a group of people with transnational interests who tell the media what they can say and what they can't.
We saw this in full force five years ago. There was an official truth (proven a lie over and over) and every media, left and right, went with it because THAT was their side. Free press is not, for sure.

My guess is that Republicans in power are realizing that not only is this a massive losing issue when it comes to how their base views things, but they also want to take credit for their own half-assed way of handling this situation, rather than letting the opposing party have the credit for what would be equally half-assed efforts.
Ultimately, I don't think anything substantial is going to happen, and neither party is going to actually do anything. But what we can have is two groups saying that they're the good ones who want to do things the right way, while the other team is bad and can't be trusted. So politics as usual.
I'm just wondering if we'll at least get as much as a "there is a list, but we can't act on it, because nothing can be proven, so we can't release it either."
