Right now I'm posting from a curry house, waiting for my lunch when just noticed I had Internet on my iPod and that's the reason why I made this thread..

Also, any weird spots near you with wifi, that you didn't expect?

There is free wifi everywhere in the city I live in, which is weird because this place is so ghetto. I think you have to look at ads to use it though, I've never tried it.

as for WIFI, my neighbours have it, unsecured.. I really dont have to pay for internet I could just mouch of them if I wanted :lol

they tried to do in philadelphia, but it kinda failed

now, some other company bought the old failed network and in random parts of the city you can get "wireless philadelphia" for free. if you can find a real connection, its obviously much better but it helps in certain situations

there should be, and it's entirely do-able with current technology. the big impediments are largely social and commercial. activism, we are the ones we've been waiting for, etc.

Yea there is a lot wifi but most of it around here isn't free. I'd be happy to look at some ads though if it was free.

Also Starbux in Canada has free wifi right now if you have an active gift card which is practically free since you just put in $5 into it every month and you buy a drink with that and use the code.
