constantly showing the same loyalty mission, providing as little information as possible leading up to its release, animation issues, multiplayer beta cancellation. what's not to love?

Fallout 4 has 4.2 million on Steam alone. I believe PS4 was the biggest audience with Xbone/PC splitting the rest so I'd imagine it's above 12 mil now (OG shipped 12 million). MEA would be a success at half that.

That may very well be what she actually looks like without makeup, they presumably did a 1:1 map of her face. Some people work legitimate sorcery with makeup.

So it's not a gif playing in reverse, it's just a shitty in game animation? Never encountered that one myself. Pre order canceled! Nah jk. These little gripes won't prevent me from enjoying this game. It's the story and the characters that are still a mystery. If the story sucks the whole experience suffers. Shouldn't affect multiplayer though.

Neither, the initial character shots they released had the camera too close on too wide a lens so his proportions got distorted in relation to his head, they since re-issued them, no model changes. Just camera.

Not unexpected - the fact we hadn't heard anything this close to release it was obvious it was being cancelled - but gutted none the less.

I'm still day 1 - but after the IGN video (the awful words...) and other bits and bobs really worried. I'm taking the day off work for it (much to my wife's chagrin..) so hoping it's worth it...

This would be a good damage control argument by whoever made an animation like that tho.

Nah, someone's posted the male version which does connect. Its an error with femRyder's animations, though not a major one since it's only really perceptible if you slow it down (as in the gif) or are on the look out for it.

Im not disagreeing but its nothing new. Most ME3 missions were like this too.

Bioware is making it pretty obvious they are targeting people who don't play a lot of hardcore games. Most of my Bioware fan friends only play Bioware games and MMOs.
 
Well that tells me they either have no faith in their servers, have no faith in the multiplayer mode itself....Or both.

ME is one of my favorite franchises from last gen. But between the stuff they have shown, the unexciting trailers, bland looking cast and now stuff like this... I never expected to have no hype for a next gen Mass Effect :(
 
I think it's more likely they realised this could possibly increase subscriptions to EA Access, and that's why they pulled it. Why give something away for free that you can charge for?

This actually sounds like exactly the type of thing EA would do. They may be cutting off their nose to spite their face though, if that's the case. A successful multiplayer test could have driven some positive buzz. Which they could certainly use some more of right about now.

There's an Origin sale going on for all three games. Might grab if if that's the case.

Yeah, it's still very much alive. It shouldn't be too difficult to find matches as there's always people playing.

Well fuck just found out about this.
Another concern no doubt but I've never played nor cared about MP in Mass Effect so I'm not fussed about not getting to play the beta.

I'm playing Horizon now and I respectfully disagree with lumping Guerilla in there.

Their animations and motion capture are incredible, all the more impressive as it's their first attempt unlike Bethesda or Bioware.
 
Guess all those guys saying bioware will likely get canned after this release were right

No forums and no beta. Yea it does seem dire. Not that I see it as a bad thing after ME3. They clearly aren't the same bioware as before

Well that is from Omega, which is the worst piece of Mass Effect content IMO, and was made by the Montreal team
which is also way more involved in ME:A's development

Feels like they do it on purpose considering how sheploo looked on point and so does the new guy. Oh well they wanna play it like that they can keep doing it until they go out of business from bleeding sales.
