3. The moderator asked Thomas Jane about there being rumors of a possible Punisher 2. Thomas' respone was....."Oh, is that still just a rumor?" We all perked up, Niles asked Jane if he could talk about this, and Thomas said "Why Not." Jane let the cat out of the bag and told the room that yesterday at a studio in north Dallas (he dropped the name, but I don't remember it), they filmed the teaser for Punisher 2. Tom O'Brien, the cover art model of Frank Castle for the Punisher comics who was also at the Con, was also at the shoot yesterday in full costume. Jane said that on his phone, he owns the only picture of himself and the "real" Punisher, both in full costume, standing next to each other. No word on when or where we will see this trailer though.

4. Jane said that while the script is not finished, he is working closely with the team. He said that he is doing EVERYTHING he can do to get the setting moved to the borroughs of New York and that Jigsaw is "more than likely" going to be the villian in the movie.

Why?

If Starbreeze handles the game version, I'll f'n be there.

What do they have to do with any Punisher game? The current one is done by Volition.

The original truly is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I admit it. I own the original Punisher on DVD because it can be enjoyed for what it is. I never saw the new Punisher. Fank Castle's family killed to piss him off and he takes out revenge on...South Florida?

How about having it more true to the f'n comic... wth he's living in an apartment building being friendly with his neighbors?!???! He spends most of the f'n movie build his car? Where's the pain? Where's the f'n anguish? HE ANNOUNCES HIMSELF TO THE F'N WORLD BY TALK TO HIS OLD COP PARTNERS?!??!?!

1989 Punisher>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2004 Punisher

I really don't understand the hate for Punisher.

It was probably one of the closest comic book TRANSLATIONS out there. I think people don't realize it was based offf Ennis's "Welome Back Frank" story and not the classic continuity. The only real embelishment was the addition of the Howard Saint character.

"Where's the anquish?" Him sitting there with a gun in his mouth is quite a bit of anguish, if you ask me. What more do you want? Do you want him to sit there and smash his bals with a hammer or stic his dick in a meat grinder? What more could you do tto the guy?

I seriously believe this is one of those "love it or hate it" movies.

But I digress....

Translations of a take on the Punisher, not on the classic continuity... and as a non-Punisher fan who's only read the book occasionally(I have now read Ennis Welcome Back Frank though I've read the reviews), this wasn't the Frank Castle I was expecting at all....

It wasnt that bad. Then again I cant stand superhero movies. I liked the whole Count of Monte Christo-grade revenge. There wasnt enough firefights tho :|

Darian.. ok I will give you that then.

Perhaps my view is a bit skewed due to being an active comic reader.

But it is a lot better than people give it credit for. I'm really not sure what people were expecting out of it.

The violence was pretty good in the movie.

Is there going to be a Hulk 2? I liked the first quite abit. :)

I saw this movie when it came out in in the theaters and haven't seen it since. There are a couple good scenes sprinkled throughout the movie, but I agree that it was still a bad movie. Still, this scene kinda rocked:

Saint: You killed my son!
*Loud explosion heard in the background*
Castle: Both of them.

And the scenes where Saint
kills his best friend and his wife over a jealous rage
was pretty cool. Though the parts where Castle was taking out Saint's wife's car and leaving a fake fire hydrant so noone would park in that spot was a bit much. Oh, and Castle's apartment 'friends' were unnecessary as well. Infact, thats what probably ruined the movie for me. That and his recovering at some old dude's hut that looked like they were on the set of "Cast Away" after his family was wiped out was a bit silly. :lol

My bad, when I said the original Punisher, I meant the new Punisher "1" not the old Dolph one -- been lucky enough to miss that one so far, hah.

There are plans to do a Hulk 2 yes... and to make it less cerebral, more action.

I actually like the original movie... though even I will admit that it was too slow at points... and the Hulk Dogs fight...ugh... but I enjoyed Nick Nolte as the crazed scientist father, etc.... but I like alot of stuff that most don't...
